I just have to wonder though how many of the domestic vape shops would go out of business without internet sales or ejuice sales. It is a sobering thought.

I was talking with a friend about this the other day. Let's say e-juice and hardware do get banned from selling over the internet (only). Definitely not good for us and something that I'm cautiously optimistic (perhaps naive) will not happen. But if it does, presumably this would cause a rise in the number of B&M's which is very interesting to me. In this age where retail trends are shifting to online sales, it would be kind of cool to have such a large market primarily supported only by physical stores. It still would probably suck for the consumer/prices, but nonetheless.

I remember reading here on ECF (don't ask me what thread) one rather prominent vape shop owner pointing out that internet sales made up the vast majority of his sales. If that hold true across the board then I suspect many B & Ms would end up going out of business because the loss of internet sales would take their income down to a non viable level.

If you add in the possibility that even in shop they are not allowed to sell juice. you really have to question the viability of a vape shop at all except in the largest of cities.

For me I have no hope whatsoever of a local B & M. This is extreme small town middle of nowhere. My nearest B & M is a 7 hour drive away in another state. Even if a new one were to open in the nearest larger city it would be 100 miles one way. Neither would be terribly doable on a regular basis for me.

Preparation before such an event seems to be the wiser choice for people like me.

Worst case scenario is that the majority of avid vapors start DIY'ing and paying a big premium on nicotine. That's not a bad thing. They can't ban PG, VG or mods. It seems like the vaping community is built around DIY, so it will probably just bring the community closer together. I wouldn't even be surprised if vendors just started releasing recipes.

Agreed that PVs, batteries, chargers, heads, wire, wick etc, can not be banned, nor the online sales of such.

BT well be allowed to sell prefilled cigalikes with 4ml nic in carto's max, in every gas station, and where ever cigarettes are sold. Tobacco flavor only ( but define a tobacco flavor?)

These well be taxed at the same rate as cigarettes, and banned from selling online.

No more online nic sales, as we know it.

B&M's well need the same liscense a gas station etc needs to sell cigalikes, and possibly nic juice in 4ml no higher levels.

This I believe is the worst the FDA can impose on us.

Law suits well be filled, hopefully by us our vendors etc somehow.

I've been known to be wrong on occasion.

I'm not the FDA nor do I pretend to be the FDA on the interweb, lol!

Ok gonna get on my soap box.
All this crap thats going on is all a smoke screen.
We got possible world war III about to jump off
with all the madness in Syria. Believe me its more to it
than the rebels fighting Assad and gas.

Everything they throw our way is just by design
to take our minds off the big picture. U really think they give
a rats ..... Like I said do the footwork we keep up the good fight.
But don't sweat the small stuff.
This is the matrx and we're just the hampsters on that wheel in a cage.
Thing is do we wanna keep spinnin the wheel or just sit back and observe.
I read in a book somewhere. Be in the world but not of it.
I am so not trying to hijack this thread and the OP is definitely right

Personally I'm very pleased that our benevolent government will eventually regulate everything I do and consume. I won't have to think anymore. That's a relief! I won't even have to vote since it doesn't really matter anyway. Politicians are much wiser than I am.

I really hated it when We the People used to be the government.

And I have a FEMA camp in the Ozarks to sell you. Really people. Cigarettes are not banned. Taxed into oblivion I guess, but still quite accessible at any store, and online. Want minimal government interference in your lives? I hear you can buy lovely ocean front property in Somalia.

As long as liq nic is still available I can foresee vendors selling "Flavor Packs" of their juices. That way they can keep their recipes secret. You would just mix up your nic, pg, an vg and squeeze in a flavor pack of your favorite flavors.

When all is said and done in the end, I agree with the op that hardware will still be available. BUT for many people, changes in the short term could be a major disruption to their vaping world as they know it now. Some people will easily adjust and others will adjust with time. Another group wont want to or be able to deal with the changes.

Hope for the best and prepare for the worse is good advice IMO. AND be prepared to work and fight for the outcome we believe in. I agree with AgentAnia, state and local government rules and regulations could turn out to to have an even greater negative impact on our ability to vape as we do now then whatever the FDA finally decides. :(

Insane .... & Pipe Ban signed by FL Gov Rick Scott. 2x = Felony! | Peace . Gold . Liberty

Florida .... Ban: Rick Scott Signs Horrific Bill Making It a Felony to Own a Pipe

Although the ban does not apply to tobacco use apparently you have to buy tobacco as part of the purchase. The intent is to limit the sale of all pipes.

It would be better for my wallet if it was banned :)

I've spent far less on my vaping hardware and supplies in the last 6 months then i would have spent on cigarettes in the same timespan. The best part about my money spent is that it didn't got to any tobacco company and supported a small business when small business' need supporting. If i didnt have my PV i would be smoking analogs and i know that for a fact.
