Careful Meggers. I know we're waiting (thanks for the bunny). But if you post stuff (particularly on-topic stuff) while waiting, you get yelled at....

I don't think Kat is back until tomorrow. We also haven't heard from Nat and others. So, please post here in this thread if you volunteer and are part of the regular crew on the PVT that knows this general process.

I'm flying by..i was waiting to see if I'd be drafted ;)

If we're limiting the proposed subforum (assuming it happens) it to 4 co-mods (though i dunno if we need to assume that limit) I'm assuming that so far it's going to be Whiskey, Tibs and Atty. So i want to make sure that there is a space in case someone really wants to be part of the list keeping subcommittee . It's also hard to volunteer when you don't know the scope of what it will look like.

I'm happy to help but also know that i can jump on things and try to take over, alternating with having no time...so i thought i'd wait to see if there were other volunteers.

I read j0ker's request for names as a request for the names of the committee members- not who would have what editing privileges there.

so perhaps the first place to start is with that general list of names

Good point CES. I guess I was working on both at the same time, since we want to complete this. We still need editing privileges for a select group of "editors".

So who needs access to the sub-forum in general? Is it open/visible to everyone (read only?). Is there a "PVT Crew" only part of it? Or is the whole thing "PVT Crew" Only?

I don't know how rights are assigned in the forum software. What are the options, anyone know? Or maybe a better way...

What is our ideal solution? (then we'll see how the forum meets it.. if it's even approved).

3) List thread has restricted access (like it's closed, but could be edited by sub-forum moderators... the "list edit crew").

ces, with a rotation of 6 editing members we should have plenty of leeway as to schedule. in your case, you could take the editing position 2 weeks running while on slow time ;) and then not worry about it for another 2 months or so ....

visible vs invisible may not be an option, but that's basically what i envision also. if invisible/private, then it should include the whole committee. that way any committee member has access to and can post the list as needed (if open the entire committee et al., has access by definition)

6 makes more sense to me, as does a more flexible length of rotation

Hi Committee :):)

I've been back reading as much as possible. As most know, I'm working very long hours right now. I'm sure others are too, so please don't feel I think I'm in some way exempt of responsibility.

I'm sorry, I can't update the list daily, at least right now, even in a rotation.

But, I am volunteering to work in tandem with whoever has charge of the list (as I do with Tibs now). If you want me to continue when things are sorted out, just let me know. Until then I'll still be checking the Sandbox and the link in Whis' sig.

I do this at least once a day as time allows.

What I've been doing isn't much, but so you know:
Double check pre-vet profiles to be sure dates are adjusted for leap year, and West Coast.
Double check Military times to Turn times for accuracy.​

I PM Tibs when I think there may be a problem or when finding something questionable.
Most of the mistakes have already been caught (as was "DeviantDe" today), before I can even send a PM, but, I can be a safety net if you need me. :)

To all, what you've done is amazing! You all deserve a pat on the back and a :toast:!!
