No,if you order a Satin finish ELA your accent rings are Satin finish too.

I searched through the thread and it sounds like the extra rings I ordered will be Polished finish - but it comes with rings that match the finish ordered. So I should end up with a set of each. :)

Reference

I failed to specify extra in my original post

Correct, the finish you order is the same finish the accents come with and the extra pair you purchased will be the finish you select for purchase.Technically you can end up with 3 finishes for the accent rings.1-the finish you order (satin would be one) 2-brass 3-polished.You would have to order the Satin finish ELA because i do not see an option to purchase Satin finish accent rings.

Finally got around to doing my tax today. Even though I made $4000 more than last year, my rate of return was so miserable compared to the expense output to gain that $4000, it threw my tax into a lower bracket. Paid way less than I was expecting...

...so I just bought a Precise ELA. I'm trembling with excitement! :) (Note to Government: see how good it is for the economy when we keep more of our own money? See how it stimulates commerce?) I'd so much rather help keep Super T in business than the stinking Bureaucracy. Just sayin'...

SuperT polished finish isn't as shiny. I'll be refinishing mine to match the SuperT finish. I've done it to every GG RBA that I have, and they look flawless!

I want to change the finish on one of my Odys to match the Polish finish on the ELA also. How and what do you use to refinish the high polished Ody shine?

Albinon is close. I've basically been doing this to touch up all of my Precises for years, mainly because I've always loved David's original Precise finish, and the when the P+ line first came out it was only offered in the satin finish. I used to use a Scotch brite pad to start with (mainly to strip the satin), but now I go straight to 120 grit sand paper. I gradually work my way up with progressively finer sand paper, and I usually stop at 600 grit. If you want a high shine, you can go much higher like 2000 grit or more, then add a wet sand, and finish with a polishing compound. Below is a pic of my P+'s that have matching (refinished) Penelopes. The Ody V2 is also refinished ending at 600 grit. I just got the Poldi today so I haven't gotten around to refinishing the tubes to match the Ody, but I've refinished MMV stuff (DID & Temon) before and they match SuperT mods nicely too.

I love those photos, man I have to start taking some "guts" pills. I want my Ody to match my ELA. Those are making me get all "goose pimply, all over" marilyn monroe quote.

They all look so perfectly matched you'd swear they were all made by same manufacturer. Goes to show how my Vaping tastes have been leading me to the ELA/ Ody combination ever since I started looking at all the devices. I loved the Odysseus before I even really knew about them, and I always looked at the Super-T devices and thought they always made me sigh also.

Honestly, most people would think Im CRAZY but though the GG MODS are amazingly made, they just never made me say "ah, thats what I want someday" But the atomizers have always drawn me.

Nice to see others have the same thoughts too. BTW. The Poldiac is one sexy beast. ah, someday, sigh........

Because its so damn beautiful.
No seriously, I think most people have polished atomizers . I dont think you have to worry about fingerprints, the Super-T polished finish is not like most polished items. Its not a mirror shine, its almost a brushed, but not quite, its hard to really see it in the photos.

Get both:)

So why is most of u leaning with "polished" over "satin"? Im about to pull the trigger but at first i was thinking satin. Is the polished a fingerprint magnet?

I actually went with the satin myself. I think the polished mods look great but they tend to feel slippery in my hands. I like I little bit of texture for added grip. Just my 2 cents...

David's polished finish is actually the exact opposite, it resists fingerprints! Like ana said, it's not a mirrored polish. It's more of a finely brushed stainless finish. You can see some faint textural lines, but it is still very smooth to the touch.

Satin… though now I am confused again about the accent rings. Here FF says accent rings come polished unless specified otherwise. So I assumed polished.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/super-t-manufacturing/358470-precise-ela-telescoping-mod-super-t-16.html

That post was from 01/06 (or whatever date page 16 is with your settings). This one is from 04/05.

"The optional accent rigns all come in polished, so it would be two tone. With the unit though, the rings would match the finish type choosen."

Reference

I hadn't been paying attention enough to even know that any accent rings were included. :)
