So ELA owners are a more exclusive club than Caravela and Chi You owners? That makes me feel superior, and no stupid waiting list!

got into pre-order for high end mod cuz didn't want to wait forever for a Caravela....The high end mod ends up more exclusive then the "limited production" mods.

Shockwave owners are even more exclusive... 117 produced--with 113 sold to buyers--now isnt that special:shock: ?

Poor Pedro making those Caravelas, he had never imagined how it would take off like it did.

Ehhhh let me chime in a hot second here. Poor nothing lol. This goes to any mod maker... If you are not up to the task of making product assuming hit or miss then you have no business -selling- (not making, it's a free world) your product. I'm sorry blix, it's a lame excuse. Pedro plays innocent, and he's not a bad guy at all, but production = $$ income so no tears from me. Last Saturday wild valley screwed up the sale of ihybrids and faceless's excuse to not sell to those who won the LE was "if I let everyone buy one that wanted one I'd have to make 60,000 units". Ok buddy slow down, if you were able to sell 60,000 of them you would be taking Instagram shots of your Ferrari with a kool-aid smile. The point... Feed the demand or just don't play in this game. We work hard for our money and noone has to feel like they are being done any favors to be -able- to buy a mod lol. .... of here with that mentality.

Ok I'm back, the angry hulk is gone :)

Super-T bought materials for 400 initially for the introductory roll-out. After that production will still be ongoing, but the prices and options will change. That is my understanding at this point, unless they have had second thoughts going through this process.

I think that's the plan... Although I wouldn't be surprised if David had 2nd thoughts...
After personally hand finishing, tuning and testing each and every ELA going out the door... When compared to the Simplicity... Even at 1/2 the price, I'd imagine that the Simplicity is far more profitable than the ELA once man hours are thrown into the equation. (Machine hours too... The HAAS wasn't cheap)

I completely agree with rojo here.

I don't go as high as 34--I like to stick with my conservative 32 gauge Kanthal. I've found that there are only certain flavors that actually work with extremely low-ohm coils, and even then it isn't necessarily better. NET tobaccos are ESPECIALLY finicky on high power coils and rarely taste how they should. Subtle flavors and aromas just don't come through when you're assaulting your face with uber-powerful vapor.

Better to take the middle ground: more flavor complexity, more battery life, albeit thinner clouds and less power.
I found my winning setup for my Kayfun. 34 gauge 2.1 ohm 3-wrap coil around a single strand of 3mm silica @ 8 watts. This vape is tops bloobie! Full, rich flavor, solid TH, full of win.

I don't really understand the latest vogue aiming for thicker wire, more wraps and sub-ohm resistance. Thinner wire burns hotter at a given power level, whereas thicker wire alters the flavor in sad, sad ways. Plus lower resistance = higher amperage = quicker battery drain. What is the appeal of sub ohm + uber wattage just to get a thick coil to perform its base function of getting hot enough to matter? It seems like a hack to me -- one you might use temporarily and reluctantly until your replenishment order of the better kanthal arrives. Sure, the vapor is thick and it looks impressive, but the flavor is tinny. All flash, little substance as far as I have experienced. I've only been able to achieve accuracy and intensity of flavor with higher gauge coils. Lower gauge with more wraps and more power makes my coconut vanilla custard cupcake taste like rice pudding, or sometimes just straight pg with a hint of car air freshener.

34 gauge is better.

I agree with this to a point... I would, however, argue that anyone who sells anything has the right to pick and choose to whom they want to sell to and to choose how many items they want to make and sell.

Personally, I think that intentionally limiting production to make something collectible is a crappy business model but to each their own.

What amazes me is the price those type of mods go for used. The Simplicity has just as much in machining and engineering as many of them and is Precious Metal Plated on the contacts to boot! Shows what throwing a bit of polish and engraving on them does. Not to mention the ELA which has probably 2-4 times the machine time, parts and engineering of any mod out there and is Precious metal plated too. Hell of a bargain :) (yeah, i have to do some sales promoting)
