Any of you guys waiting on a kayfun Lite for your ELA's might find the Russian 91% pre-order worth checking out. It's a clone, but it's not a clone. This clone embellishment actually seems to be an improvement on the original, as it adds adjustable air draw. See this thread and Todd's review for more info. If you order, use coupon code vaporjoe6off. Unfortunately, since it's a pre-order, you probably won't receive your order for a couple of months at least.

It's in the button. I promise. If it were a short in the atty the entire PV would heat up.
The only reason that know what is, is because I've experienced it. It's a very strange sensation. It feels like a cross between the button heating up to 300 degrees and having your pinky hairs yanked out. Yes... The first time it happened to me I thought I had pinky hair getting caught between button and the collar... Then it dawned on me that I don't have enough hare on my knuckles to get caught in anything...
The other odd thing... The button itself doesn't actually get hot. After the arc occurs, the button will not have a noticeably elevated temperature.

Well, I've never cleaned my button, but it is indeed very dirty around the points of contact between it and the button ring. IT"s sort of tough for me to tell whether it's carbon buildup, or just dirt, but I'll assume it's carbon. I'll clean it and report if it happens again.

I don't think it's the Spheroid either. The amount of heat I got was insane, and it was on the mod, not the atty. Both times it happened, the point of heat was right at the top of the ELA, slightly below the locking ring. It was almost like the heat 'seeped' directly out of the crack into my finger. Longer than just a "spark"... there was a distinct "heating-up" period, that lasted about half a second, and was gone as soon as I let go of the button. Followed by a string of curse words. ;)

mmm so they definitely have not shipped then. Got my hopes up when we got the notification the other day from David saying they were indeed shipped. Owell back to the waiting game. Almost picked up another mod tonight. One with a side button just to make it different.

My update early last week is still accurate: we printed up the labels later last week (hence why you received the tracking number) and we should have them shipped out over the next couple of days at which time your tracking number will update and become active in the USPS system:

Update: Thru 15277 has shipped, tracking should update by tomorrow.

Working on thru 15288 which is the end of batch "1". Should send out tracking information later this week and I hope to have all of batch 1 wrapped up by mid week next week.

The beginning of Batch two should start shipping by weeks end and we'll send out notices probably around mid-week.

Only time I ever had that happen to me with any precise mod, is when I had a short in my atomizer. Do you have another device that you can stick your atty on to test it against?

How I got the spark : On the kayfun standard you can pull the center pin while your atty is built, you have no problems. Well I thought the same thing would be true on the mini. So I pulled the center pin on the mini while it was built, then I put the center pin back in. SPARK HOT OUCH, oh heck that was scary. Not believing it I hit the fire button again. Same thing! YIKES! I put it on another mod, same thing! Uh oh! So then it dawned on me about the center pin. Well I took it apart and realized my insulator was off just ever so much. When I put the pin in the insulator wanted to rotate with it. Spark haven. I corrected the insulator and the pin to where it was suppose to be. No sparks, no shorts, no heat.

The only time I had something like this happen was when I was building my own mod. When I put a metal drip tip, it touched the center post which sent a shot of electricity right onto my pinky...I also think it's the atti.

How we tend to roll today:
My ELA gets a "divan-style" couch while in use with an RBA that doesn't leak (there are many). (The divan varies as well.)

Couldn't make up my mind which photo to use

notice the D/T's best for dripping... the Gryphon can take up to 30 drops and doesn't leak.

Received my first ever hh357 today. That also means I finally get to play with the adjustable air flow cap on the ELA. I have to say, Snork has it right. The hh357 is pretty decent on the ELA with the adjustable cap. I wouldn't say I would be willing to give up my rebuildables for this dripping atty, but it isn't bad. It does have a decent flavor, still a little low compared to the kayfun. Yes I got it primed up. I thought about picking up another in 3.0 ohm just for the darwin, cause I think it performs best on a regulated device. My opinion of course.

I tell ya though, that adjustable air flow cap on the ELA, is pretty nice. Very nice indeed! Shame I can't utilize it more with the rebuildables, but with a regular atty, it brings the atty to a different level.

I haven't been dripping much of late, most of my traditional attys have been sitting in storage for "just in case", but I've got myself a couple of good drippers recently to get back into it: a Cyclone for my Simplicity (that I still haven't gotten around to playing with yet) and an Immo just hit my mailbox today, which I plan to put to good use on my ELA probably later tonight :D

lol sorry David i still do not get it. Why say they "Thru 15277 has shipped, tracking should update by tomorrow" and then say "we are on track with this they will be shipped out over the next couple of days"? Shipped to me and to a lot of other people mean they are sent out not that they are still sitting on a bench with a number on them. Not complaining just stating that it is hard to follow this type of routine.

Ah, I get the confusion, I made a typo, it was thru 15177 had shipped and working on thru 15288. Sorry for the mix-up, my fault.
