Hi guys! Thanks for the input!

There is a good chance that user error of some sort lead to that leak. I am not feeling well, so last night I just switched back to my old vape. Today, I am still sick, but I was missing my ELA! So, I broke down the KL, cleaned her up, and did a new build. So far, so good!

Hope I am feeling better tomorrow. I need some new supplies from the local vape store.

Tomorrow is my ONE YEAR CIG FREE!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats Cucco, I just made my 5 month milestone :)

Five months! Good or you!

I just noticed that the web page I am using for the signature is no longer calculating right. Hmmm. I'll have to figure out what the deal is, or find a new one.

I don't normally look at it, because I wrote my own spreadsheet to calculate it. Here are my spreadsheet stats:

Quit Date: 10/2/2012
Today: 10/1/2013

Smober Time: 0 Years, 11 Months, 29 Days
Cigarettes Not Smoked: 29,120
Money Saved: $8,342.88

Four years! Congrats!!! Hopefully, that will be some day!

I quit smoking in November 2009. I can't remember the exact date but it was with that Smoke 51 garbage they sell at mall kiosks.

After a few months of battling with that POS I joined ECF and found Super T. Well I found David posting about the T1 back when he sold the T1 in the mod forum.

Been a Super T'er since!

raqball ur absolutely correct. i got leaking because i was trying to fill from top cap. but never held the airhole closed and turned kayfun upside down when tightening top cap.. last tim i'll do that. fill on bottom is good enough.. and congrats on all u ex smokers.. im going on 3 years., but i do have a cig with an old vietnamese freind i have once in a blue moon.. he just will not let me say no to him. very persistent he is. yes ive tried to tell him about my vaping ways, and i offer him to have a vape of mine. i had a drip tip for him and i handed it to him and hes like "oh no, thats for ladies u know, i smoke the mens way" haha... hes a character

That's fantastic. I wish I had an old Vietnamese friend too!
(Right now I'm missing a smoke something fierce, 2 years 7 months for me).

My first two builds with my ELA/Kayfun Lite, were done by my local vape shop. The vape took several pulls to get decent vape when cold, and the draw was airy. I posted here yesterday for ideas from you guys. As usual, you guys chimed in to help a fellow vaper. Today, I was going to try your ideas, but for some reason I was locked out of this forum. So I attempted a figure 8 build like the vape shop did. Because I was not well today, I was shaky as heck. It was the sloppiest build you ever saw. Funny thing .. the vape is great. She heats up right away. The draw is not too airy. Maybe, the sloppy build resulted in more wick shoved down in there? Resulting in less air? I don't really know. But, I'm happily vaping away!

Was anyone else having issues with this forum today?

I am really looking forward to trying your microcoiling build. I know there are a ton of vids out there, but is there a particular vid you would suggest?

Thanks guys!!!!

It may be coincidence but I was getting some leaks on my KFL for the first week and they completely disappeared when I switched out the drip tip for something a little more fancy (a wide bore dt). You also might want to check the position of your wick. There are a few people on the KFL thread that had leaks when the wick was too close to the air duct. Apparently if its too close it will leak juice over time. I keep mine 1-2mm from the duct and it works great. If your wick is too close, that could also explain why the draw is less airy as well.

A lot of people seem to have trouble with the KFL for the first couple weeks (myself included) but once you figure it out, its a most excellent vape. If you're interested in micros, vapdivrr has a few great videos... I've posted a link to his channel below. IMHO, the key to a great micro build is the wick... and with cotton, less is better. Also the people over on the KFL thread are awesome, they definitely go out of their way to help everyone out on a daily basis.

If you find it all confusing, just send me a PM and I'll outline how I have mine setup. It was a tad overwhelming at first but now rebuilding takes no more time than I used to spend switching out tank cartos.
