Not sure about the reason but I may have to get one of each. Just that kinda guy. Beautiful just like my Sweetie. And you can dress up or down. Just like my Sweetie. :)

Don't know how you could dress down the ELA with Super-T options, all are variations on how to dress to the 9's.
The only way to dress down an ELA is to slap a cheap POS topper on her :)

I guess I don't understand why you would make these? What purpose does the Flat non adjustable draw cap do above and beyond the provided adjustable draw cap for the ELA?

I think I understand why he made it. We can't use the adjustable air flow cap with anything other than standard 510 atties/cartos. That means that those of us that use RBAs/RDAs (which I assume is most people) use the standard cap. I've found that often times, the cap ring unthreads when removing the rba. This new solid cap will prevent this from happening since it's a single piece top cap. I don't see it as much of an inconvenience, but I can see how others would. Well, I'm not sure if that's David's reason, but that's my take on it.

Ok not dressed down. Lets just say casual or formal. I don't know but I like em. Come on Payday. Daddy want new toys to play with.
And the beauty of the ELA would make a POS atty even look good. (kinda like when we get to go out. She looks so good it even makes me look good. And that ain't easy).

I like them because my main gripe is going from the airflow cap to the normal cap and back. When going from the airflow, there is an oring that you have to remove and then usually some clean up from condensation or overdrippage.

Taking the normal cap off can be somewhat annoying as well unless you use tools because it can be difficult to grab onto the base of the cap to unthread the top cap.

This will allow me to switch back and forth faster and easier which I'll definitely like.

Yes, these are adjustable, same as your current ELA cap, just unscrew the hybrid center post from your existing cap and screw it into this cap.

So Im still confused, Im sorry for it. Are these new tops for use with atomizers like the Kayfun, Odysseus and other tank rebuildables or only for traditional atomizers like the Cisco and the like?

So the stock non-airflow control cap doesn't have air slots on the top, thats the difference?

The top cap consists of two pieces: the main piece that holds the adjustable center post and the interchangeable beauty rings (one with AFC and one without). The main piece of the top cap has small slots for airflow, and the standard (non-AFC) beauty ring sits about 0.05" below the main piece. This allows for adequate airflow for atties/RBAs/RDAs that utilize airflow through the 510 connector. The 0.05" gap is negligible so it's not very noticeable (e.g. no obvious gap between RBA and top cap).

I think that the main point of this new top cap is that it is a solid one piece design.

I'm still not 100% sure, but I think these are for RBA's like the Ody, which still pull air from the bottom. So when you screw the Ody flush with the top cap, air can still enter from the groves (Ody v2 already had groves cut into the base for this). The Kayfun will have no problem with a totally flat cap, and no gap, because the air comes from the hole on the side of the atomizer.

EDIT - pAth77 explained it well right above this post.

What he said. Since I enjoy the adjustable draw cap so much it makes using it much easier.
I got a polished Mag and a satin Flower.

Oh, I see now (kind of). I was having a hard time picturing it because I don't have the ELA yet. Guess I'll order one lol.

Well if the current cap is working with your Ody's, you probably don't need one :)

This is tough to visualize not having an ELA in hand. For my purposes, is there any benefit over the standard set up if I intend to use the ELA with Kiklet and KFL only?

If you ever come up to the SJ area vape shops, let me know and I'll meet you there. I'll bring my ELA for you so that you can see it first hand.

I inquired about these solid design caps from David a couple of days back. Here is why.

1) The current two-piece design top cap is designed to work with the adjustable draw system. However, this system must have a standard atomizer width to be useful. I don't ever use cartos or standard atomizers so therefore the adjustable draw is not useful for me.

Note: The current two-piece design does allow for adequate airflow for devices that draws air from the 510 connection. This is accomplished by having the center of the top cap slightly raised to allow airflow underneath.

2) Currently, when I want to remove my top cap for adjustments I often find that the decorative ring on the top unscrews first. I then have to grab the top cap by the exposed threads in order to remove it from the mod. A one piece top cap eliminates this issue making for quicker easier adjustments to the 510 center pin.

3) Lastly, the simplified design might help keep costs down for future ELA runs by eliminating the adjustable draw feature for those that will not or do not plan on using it.

Do you need it? Well, that's a question only you can answer!
