Don't mean to be the voice of dissent here, but don't underestimate the P+. ELA is awesome, but I use a P+ as much as I do my ELA. I'm thinking that a P+ with the strata will be hard to beat. And there are still some stratas in stock. And I'm guessing that an ELA at retail is pretty much a unicorn.

Ya I'm surprised I was able to restrain but I am trying to be more responsible with my vape purchases and didn't wanna get it just to fill the void of not having an ELA

Im hoping the Precise Plus is not gone, just being "updated" Not in looks or buttons etc. Just a nice top cap update and maybe, just maybe a bit wider to accommodate wider atomizers. I know 23mm diameter would be asking too much , but at least a 22mm Precise Plus 18500 would be a dream. Not that I really need another device, but its a strong "want"

And I would get it in satin and though it might be blasphemous, Id have it " painted black "

Nah, a wider P+ wouldn't be a P+. I can't comprehend of one with a microgram of added bulk.

I have heard really good things about the P+ but I like to try devices before I pull the trigger if possible. I'm sure it's too late now anyway someone must have jumped on it.

Pris, you have to keep in mind David's vision. These are products of his evil genius engineering brain. We are buying into his vision.... his dream. There are hundreds of 22mm mods out there, and atties alike. But its that same brain that can so perfectly manipulate steel and still get all the aesthetics, all the strength and save weight because there is the same 18mm battery fitting into a 20mm mod!! Nobody else out there works to this level of measure. (save for GP who comes close with their tolerances) :)

I like his vision and I find myself very fortunate to have found the ELA when I did. I had the money and wanted something special and different and found all I was looking for in one beautiful package. For me the ELA is all I had on my list of needs:

Telescopic, simple, artful craftsmanship, simple to break down, adjustable top cap, simple, wide and sleek, not too shiny, good weight, unique, simple, after purchase customer care, lifetime warranty, made in the USA, a company that has been around for years.......
check on it all.

And I almost forgot, I had found my ultimate atomizer so it had to be able to be balanced in weight and structure to complete the whole look.

Confession time, I purchased my first gg, the justGG great low serial. First got it I loved it, love love love love! Now I think it isn't so great. After time other mods just don't compare. I am pretty hard core on my gear, if it keeps up with me, it is good stuff. Darwin, and my Supert gear have really taken care of me. I am so brutal that I also purchased a provari finally, the top cap is loose. Like a gap, heck one day I am sure that will pop off. Yep provari is a tank, justgg is a tank, but neither can hold up to me, or compare to my Darwin and Supert mods! no joke!

There is a local ECF member, Darkzero, that makes them as well. He is a fantastic guy and is on his 2-3 batch. He may have a few left before his next run. They are absolutely perfect for micro coiling. PM him and he will return it quickly.
I have 2 of them and was glad to support him,

After a long search I've found an ELA! First batch satin finish! I want a flat bottom cap and was wondering if the super t switches are just as good or better than the satburn switches. Anybody have any experience with these? Thanks guys!

Congratulations! I am still on the hunt and can't imagine how exciting it will be when I finally score one, don't forget to post pictures when it gets there!

How do these things work? (Yes, I know I could go search around but I'm lazy).

I'd like to do more microcoils but I seriously like silica better than any other wick. I've been sorta successful but it's a pain. Then again, in my imagination I have one other evil coil for the Strata that I never got to try; it's the opposite of a microcoil so it won't be a prob.

I have to agree. While the ELA is the ultimate, a P+ is rocketing in a close second. It's like coming in second in the lottery. Yeah you may have only won 7 million instead of 10, but you still won 7 million, which is awesome.

Congrats as you have scored the "Rare Satin ELA".......... Yes the SuperT flat bottoms are the best...its an OEM part--fit and finish second to none:vapor:

David touched on this subject when the P+ 18350 and 500 were first announced. He said, "2 mm may not seem like a lot of extra diameter, but as current P18 owners can attest, it's a lot. Also, adding 2mm extra of width to the mod, would increase it's weight exponentially." The P+ and Simplicity lines are purpose-built mods, and David's efficient use of material and mass without compromising strength is a matter of well-deserved pride.

The proliferation of 22mm toppers only attests to the low expectations of industry standards. If you think about it, does it really make sense that an 18mm diameter battery would really need a tube with a 3 or 4mm wall? Why are 22mm mods so popular, anyway? Is 22mm just the smallest tube stock modders were able to get during the infancy of PV modding?

Anyway, rather than compromising for an illogical, inefficient standard, it'll be better for David to set a new standard with the Strata and whatever tank atty he's got in mind for the future.
