Recently sold my K1300R....love that BMW in line 4 (also have a Harley so I can say the following) you can't beat the feeling you get when you ride a K, but you can't beat the way you feel when riding a Harley :)

If you look at how much metal you would have to remove - you would have a pretty big cavity with small button in the middle, imo it would look .... ugly and ruin the otherwise awesome appearance of the ELA. The Super-T flat button just glows hi tech and is a perfect match to the hi tech ELA. Also, you would void NASA's approval for Space Station use!

I don't think it would look so bad because there isn't that much space in the first place. Maybe someone with photoshop skills could mock it up for us...give us a little visual :)

For you head voices are ok, you seem to manage them fairly well :)
I had a Harley Electra Glide for 10 years, the upright sitting position just hammered my lower back, after 100 miles I was done! I have to say after owning many different bikes over the years, the big twin Harleys have it for curb appeal and parading up main st. - but on the open road they are trucks on 2 wheels ... just my experienced and quite biased opinion 8-o

Ive never used them, but I hear if you tend to get warm/hot buttons, it helps. I have hesitated as my pinkie might not be able to handle the added strength?

I sold one to a guy in California who was using sub ohm coils and getting a hot button... His report was that the HD spring did not make a difference....

Only owned Harleys my whole life. I grew up in one of 'those' towns. A bit rough and tumble. If you didn't have a Harley, you did not ride. :)

I pulled up a pic to see how much metal you would have to remove to give you that round inner cavity, I still think it would look terrible. A photoshop rendition is a good idea, I hope someone does it.

Hi David, I have a question about the flat button but not sure how to word it...the piece you sent us has 2 "wings" cut out in the middle so that the locking button can lock. Would it still lock if the whole opening in the middle was the size of the "wings" meaning one big circle inside the circle (the inner circle if you will) thanks

Absolutely it would work that way. So would just cutting the slot all the way through too, but neither of those I thought were as aesthetically pleasing, so I went with what I thought looked best. Yeah, its a pain to lock, but look at it this way, it can lock whereas the aftermarket one doesn't even give you that option, plus you don't need to lock it near as much now.

That's my sweetie on back. Very nice ride you have there. I'm just old fashioned and like the boxer design.
It's when I don't hear the voices that I get scared. :)

As you can see I'm set up for solo riding, when I had the Harley I really enjoyed cruises with the wife. I always say a couple that rides together stays together, (same can be said for golf which we also do). I've got a replacement for the Harley on order, an open cockpit roadster that is as close to being on 2 wheels without being on 2 wheels as you can get. I'll post a pic if I ever get the damn thing, I've been waiting quite awhile for it.

One of the reasons, I don't ride much anymore. Miss my hubby! It's just not the same. :(

Yeah, that I can understand - there's a comradery that goes with it that really adds to the experience. Make that one of your 'atty boy' requirements, a guy that can wrap & ride ... would be the whole package :)

Ask and ye shall receive.

No, no thanks needed, my friend. My years of experience in Photoshop have made me a master at technical renderings. It's the least I could do.
