No finish, on the face of this earth, is better than David's unique interpretation of the word polished! I hope he continues this! I was disappointed to hear, the 26650 is true polished. Very sad....

His Polished ELA version is awesome, shines with no prints.
And David's interpretation of Satin is the best in the business...:)

Sadly no. Unfortunately some where along the way, some well meaning but misguided "smart" people decided we should protect the stupid, so stupid continues to breed.

We are the only species that survive in spite of our stupidity. Scary.

Hiya guys,
Love my ELA. Quick question for you folks that have had one since first run. Do you ever worry about venting? I mean if I run this mod with venting hole covered by accent ring it seems that it is pretty air tight or am I missing something. I usually run it with upper vents exposed but I feel that I am limiting myself to a 18650 bat on this beauty of a mod.

If you dare, pull it apart with your bare hands.

She vents 'as designed' with the accent rings. When I had my bad atty short, I was happy it happened on my ELA, and not a mod less designed to accommodate. It's all good! :)

I thought I read, somewhere, David saying the ELA was designed to "release" upon battery venting.

Maybe release was the wrong word, but you owners get what I'm saying.

"Release" is a valid word. In my experience, the vents accommodated some of the pressure, and then she 'gently' blew the tube, releasing at the locking ring.

That's nothing.. on vape auctions (a fb group) they consistently go for 1k-1.3k

Making money without having to do the work. What a concept. Reminds me of all our fine Politicians using tax payer money to finance their lifestyles without having to do any work.

Okay wow. I had no idea the ELAs were going for so much on eBay. Between $550 and $750... That's amazing!

I know I'll probably get a little hate for this but wow, that's very tempting, especially when trying to scrounge up every little bit I can for a new used car.

Don't get me wrong though, I do love my ELA..

Why sometimes am I getting a burst of heat through my firing button? I've had 1600mah aw's and 1500mah mnke's in here. Has happened with my origen and the strata. I know my origen is at 0.6ohm. I'm guessing the build I have on the strata is a bit lower than that. There's no shorts in my builds. Kinda freaks me out when it happens.

I am getting this as well and have since I received my ELA. It doesn't happen unless I go sub. The further sub I go, the quicker it gets hot. I also can see arcing happen when I press the fire button. It arcs off the switch housing to the button or vise versa. I don't have shorts in my builds and I don't have problems when I put the build on another device. It has happened with the Igo-L, Igo-T, Origen v2 and now the Strata. I took the switch apart and cleaned everything, and I have interlaced springs but neither has solved the problem. I love the ELA and I would like to figure this out so I can use with without burning myself.

I will also say that the only thing that gets hot is the button. I have taken the battery out when this happens and it is totally fine.

Its happened to a few, and I was having that problem , of course not as bad, because my builds are only at 1.0 to 1.2, I thought it was my atomizers, but they did not do anything when on my Simplicity or Natural. I dont know if its the springs or what, but something is definatlely happening to some of the ELAs. I hope David can help out on this oddity.
