Could someone tell me what he meant by dont get shockwaved? I know that is the other device he was working on. Did it go up a lot once it went of pre-order or something?

Shockwaves went up for pre-order last April...stayed up for a few months.......We were warned that pre-orders were closing soon... After the pre-orders were closed and offically sold out, people wanted one but were out of luck.... So when he says dont get Shockwaved...he means-I have warned you and given you plenty of time to buy before I closed the pre-orders..
The way SuperT works is, David will give a warning concerning ELA pre-orders comimg to an end... you might have a few days or a few weeks...you never know?
But the next time you look they might be sold out..... You snooze-you lose!

I believe the Shockwaves were a one time run, at least that was the way I remember. Those are numbered because they were a special limited edition. The ELA on the other hand is going to be a product that will be on their menu and continue to be produced as part of their regular line up. He put them on pre-order as a courtesy to those who wanted to get their hands on it before.

I think in the future the price will be higher and some of the extra bonus features that the pre-order people are getting included are going to be extra add ons and will have to pay for them. I see that most likely the ELA with all the features on these first batches will end up costing closer to 300.00 . I really hope that David is not loosing too much money on these first runs.

Dont take any of these statements Ive posted as written in stone, as these are observations Ive made with all the information Ive seen on these posts. Im sure David will ring in and either confirm or clear up any wrong information that I or anyone else has made.

Plus it might be a few months before they are available again.....

As anavidfan posted, all the features we are getting in this pre-order will become additional cost when pre-orders have come to a close.I think for the price we are getting these with all features added is well worth every penny spent. You can't go wrong, how could you.I wish i had the money to get two,one for each finish.I'm curious, did dave ever mention if we could get them in two-tone like the P+'s??? I think a two-toned ELA would look sharp with a Terminator setting on top.

Yep, exactly what i mean. Don't get "Shockwaved" (procrastinate and then the preorder ends and you miss out). I received ten times the emails requesting a Shockwave after it closed then i did while it was up for sale. Trust me though, i do understand not wanting to wait and having your money tied up. But we will deliver and you won't be disappointed or your money back!

Yes there is, and it looks quite nice. I am getting a satin & a polished mod, and then sets of brass polished and ss polished exrta accent rings. I will keep all of it if I like the different combinations (and I am afraid that I will). If I don't like one or the other, it should not be a problem selling one in the classifieds.

i'm really close on making this my very first mech mod. just 2 questions. first, what are the 'features' that will/could become extras later on, which in turn, raise the price of the ELA? and secondly, i know this has been answered before and i really tried to look for the post (couldn't find it), but which finish can be turned into the other if we choose to down the road? was it polished to satin, or satin to polished?

the second questions is what's really holding me back coz i can't decide on the finish... i feel like i want to go with polished but i really want to see what a satin ELA looks like. thanks!

sort of... but I plan on selling off some of my other mods including Hybrid/s and keeping 2 ELA's... they have it all after all; its a tele.

Brass will accent either the polished or the satin imo...

Guessing, the two top caps. One for rbas and one that has the adjustable airflow. Maybe the accent rings?

You can have a polished converted to a satin, but not a satin to polished.

I can't help wondering how light this one is compared to the P+... which is so finely trimmed (and machined) ... by trim i mean thin but durable... it's "fit" :)
I imagine for a tele it may weigh more since it telescopes, but I have never had a telescope before, and in that case we may be praising the heft of it.... at any rate i imagine it will be an efficient piece.
