I have to say vaptamist you have a talent at catching the beauty of the satin finish. A true talent!

Aw shucks, thanks! It's the iphone camera, the sun, and David's work that should get all the credit!

Vaptamist has a great mod collection.................

You'd be surprised - my collection is pretty small at this point, but I think I've narrowed it down to the best couple of devices out there.

yes beautiful photos... and yes, quality over quantity... fine taste in devices you have.
i aspire to cut down to the essential and the best available, which requires experience and a good eye... and some good $$$.
most of us are ex-smokers so our $ is certainly not "going up in smoke" anymore.

Don't worry, I've got my full frame, macro lens, and speed lights all set up. Photoshop and Lightroom are always queued up on my workstation so I've got you covered. It's been a few years since my last set of SuperT pix, and ELA will definitely be worthy of some hardcore photog shots!

Sounds awesome! Can't wait to see your darling under the lights. Hehe... it's gonna be like we're a platoon of GI's sharing pin-up shots of our sweethearts... good thing that ELA's got some nice curves! :)

Getting the throw shorter was part of the plan but the switch pin is extended as far as it will go. I picked up a couple of 8X32 brass screws while I was at Lowes but when I got them back home and started cutting them down to size, I found out the we're brass plated steel... :(

As it stands now, I have to push the button about 1.5mm beyond the edge of the cap to make a connection. I figure a longer screw and two more washers and the throw will be perfect.

Stopped and grabbed a new solid brass screw today. Sanded it flat and cut it to length...

Skipped the washer in favor of a brass nut to lock it into place.

I've got the throw reduced to about 2mm, just shy of the cap ridges, making insanely easy to fire in any orientation. (Yes, it will fire if stood on end w/o locking it.)

The increased thread contact has dropped what little resistance there was... I just installed a 1/2 charged battery (3.68 volts) and its hitting harder than any other mech I've used with a fully charged battery.

My happy is through the roof! Now, if only I could get a slightly longer version of the original rhodium version... :D
