For those who still want to get in on the ELA, we have about 30 left on the second batch preorder, so don't miss out! Once they are gone, the ELA won't be available for quite awhile and not at the same price with same full boat of options it comes with now!

I can understand why they design them that way, soooo many people have problems understanding that carto tanks and most tanks NEED airflow. One of the most common complaints is : I cant get my carto with a tank to fire, most commonly its because they have it slapped down flat and it just wont fire, it just fries.

But they could do it another way without making a ledge, they just need to machine the bottoms flat and then take an end mill and machine slots in the bottom of the tank, sure it'd cost a few extra bucks, but then they could sit more flush and still get airflow :)

Oh, I am and I will!
This really is a piece of art. Heavier than I expected, but I like the feel.
Excellent work, I think you have (another) legend on your hands with ELA!

Thanks for that information, kscoggins, I like a bit of weight on my devices, being MOds or anything stainless steel. A good weight in the hands psychologically makes me think quality, like a good handgun.

I think you're going to like the button action on this too.

might have been answered, but there is a way to have it unlocked, standing, without firing... where you configure the button throw a bit looser, it will give as you put down, but not fire.... i have this on one of my P+....depending on how many washers on the button post inside.
someone can explain better than me....

That was mis-information, the ELA will not fire when placed upright, unlocked or locked. The original OP had changed the oring setup from original as he was experimenting, so no worries.

I certainly don't want to make anyone envious but I figured everyone likes pictures SO...
I tried out the adjustable draw cap, and it works like a charm. A little bit of a tight fit for some atties but I think that's the point.
Here's 18650 mode with the Vapemate

And 18500 mode with a carto

And finally, it's no Ithaka but 18350 mode (non-AW battery hence the gap) with the Terminator and Rampage long tank. Notice there's a little gap under the tank but I could probably turn down that ledge and mill air channels.
