Sure, we could slap together 36 units in that time, but we don't slap units together here. I'm really sorry we aren't meeting your time criteria, but we are doing the best we can do and that is all we can do.
The following is all the steps i personally do after the parts are Polished and washed and ready for final assembly (i personally do all final testing and assembly and final detail work and maybe i shouldn't or won't in the future, but for now i do):
In that time could you also deburr the threads on 10 threaded surfaces per ELA? Could you deburr the button slide? Could you duburr the slide channel on the button? Could you deburr and hone the button shield were the button passes through? Could you deburr the locking mechanism? Could you inspect 15 parts per ELA for flaws or scratches in the polished components after they are polished and then repolish those that didn't meet your specs? Could you fit the orings into the tubes, adjustable draw caps, main tube? Could you flat sand on the belt sander the tops of the non adjustable cap, the adjustable draw cap and bottom "P" locking slide? Could you then assemble the button assembly with the ball detent and install the Rhodium bottom post? Could you test the fit of the screw together components to insure smooth threads after deburring? Could you fit an atomizer to each one, set up the initial post height, install a battery and test fire, test the locking mechanism, test that it doesn't fire when standing up and make any necessary adjustments? Could you test the adjustable draw cap and then bag it up with the necessary spare orings? After it is all assembled, fitted and finished and passed your testing then wipe down each unit with soft cloth to remove any fingerprints/grime, reinspect the wiped down surface for any flaws (refinish again any scratches, burrs etc you may have missed) retest ? Could you then bag each unit in its felt bag, and insure that the correct options and finishes were put on to the order call out and then hand it over to Kevin for packing in the box and shipping?
Rest assured not one of the 4 employees here is dragging their feet and we are doing everything we can to streamline the machining, polishing, fitting, finishing, assembly and testing.
I won't compromise quality for speed, i'm sorry, i know my analness is a damn drag, but it is what it is.
