i also think rda's are going to be the way to go. you can buy them cheap and there isnt much to wrong with them. no glass to break ect. i can see them being durable.

i think there might be better rda units that have the juice feed hole. if im going to buy enough to last decades i want decent RDA's. i have experimented with the dripbox 160 and what it comes with, decent vapor production but it spits.

if im going to use a RDA the squonker is a must. im not dripping

This is the coil jig I have. It comes from China, no shipping but takes 3-4 weeks to arrive.

$7.45 Free Shipping Coil Master V3 6-in-1 E-Cigarette Wire Coil Winder (V3, 1.5+2+2.5+3+3.5+4mm, Aluminum Alloy, Black) at m.FastTech.com

And here is how to figure out how much nic to buy. I saved it from a pist here on my ipad thats why it's an uploaded jpeg.

KISS. For me it's
10 SV rda clones
5 Picos
5 VTwo minis
5 liters of nic
This list is in addition to what I'm currently using day to day. What ever I pull from the stockpile will be replaced as long as the products are available. I keep one rda and one each of the mods in service.

This should have a high probability of getting me to 10 years. If everything works better than expected and frozen nic is immortal may be I'm good for 20 years. Total cost is $650. I used to spend $750 to smoke for 3 months. I'd like to be finished by the end of September. Since that spending isn't extravagent may be I'll buy a mod or two more that interests me but nothing about my vape ever changes and I'd rather keep it that way.

so what exactly is going to happen. is nic base going to be available from two years from 8/8/2016 if nothing changes OR is it going to be unavailable before that. i guess what i am saying is i figured for my wife and i BOTH we would need something like 10 liters to give us a safe 20 year cushion. 1 liter will last us around 2 years or so.

then i have to stock up on everything else, buy a bunch of mods; ect ect

i really like my dripbox but it kind of eats liquid.

So far the FDA hasn't said anything about nicotine for DIY purposes. Which just by their silence on that scares the :censored: out of me.

That's why I have stocked up on nicotine. I don't trust the FDA one iota. I can see them calling it a drug (gotta protect their pharma buddies that make the patch and gum) and making it unavailable to the common consumer. Regulate it like a drug and we are screwed.

This is what I used to figure out how long and how much nic I needed for long term. Vapocolypse Calculator.xls

My daily nic is very steady and lately may be my daily ml's are declining. I'm stocking now for peace of mind. I'm not going to go crazy with it. That gets neurotic. If my $650 stash turns out to be unnecessary it was very cheap insurance. There is also the possibility of taxes. I ain't payin' no more smokin' taxes. The best reason for hope is the kids. They don't care about nicotine. They just want to do some smoke tricks. That's going to be harder to demonize plus the kids who don't need nic can get their juice in the baking section at Walmart. We use cloud toys, not electronic cigarettes.

The FDA is one thing and bad enough, now the states can have a field day with taxes and laws on their own since ecigs and ALL components are "tobacco products". I think right now I am more concerned about what the individual states will do. Even if things get better with the FDA, the states can still make things very difficult.

the wife and i were talking about it. i live in WNY, what happens around here is we have a native american reservation. 95% of the people around here go to the natives for their cigarettes, tax free. the last time i bought a carton (a while ago, they might have gone up) it was $26 per carton. they grow their own tobacco, package it, and sell it on the res. seneca brand is a major brand of cigarette now. i dont know how much NY actually makes on cigarettes but i know the res is a like a black market around here.

i wonder if the natives are looking long and hard at investing in nicotine extraction equipment, and perhaps even manufacturing equipment to make their own mods.

if this goes through i hope the natives are a thorn in the governments side.

EXACTLY! I live in PA, next month we face a 40% tax on all purchased vape equipment, even out of state. Vape shops face a 40% floor tax, few will survive. We have just as much to worry about with individual states as we do the FDA.

the natives have become very rich selling tobacco products. there has been multiple fights with the state of ny. the state tried to tax them, tried to monitor who was who buying cigarettes on the RES...... what did they do, the burned tires, threw protests and shut the interstate down.

i believe they are silently watching all of this and laughing, in fact i believe they already sell vaping gear. the government is really stupid if they think that all of this is going to work out in their favor.

if the state puts an absurd tax on e-liquid, this fight isnt over. they are delusional. right now the state at least if making money on the sales tax. if this nonsense goes through, they will make no tax...... the natives will make the money. i say good for them

Somewhere out there
what if i bought something like 10-12 1 liter bottles. will they store something like 20 years in a freezer in the amber bottles, or should i forget about it keeping that long?
No one really knows but I bought 20 yrs worth to freeze. Right now I say get what you need, freeze in glass wrapped in bubble wrap and to keep light out wrap in foil. Put in a baggie in back of freezer. My 3 yr old Nic is fresh.

We really don't know how long we can get Nic base and it may depend on state laws as much as FDA. If you need some long lasting mods, Provari has specials right now and they are cheap. Longest lasting regulated mod on the market.

I have a feeling a couple of years down the road there are going to be a lot of vapers complaining about spoiled nicotine.

Well, here I sit more than 6 years later with nicotine in my freezer that is just as good as the day that I put it there.
I think that Kurt has had some in his freezer even longer.

Since Kurt is a professional chemist and has been a godsend to this forum with the help and information that he provides, I don't think that he would steer anyone wrong. Freeze it correctly and it should last indefinitely. :)
