Having read a number of news reports/posts etc, both here, in general media, it appears to me that sooner or later and most likely sooner we are going to have an FDA ban on at least nicotine liquid.

I've never done any DIY at all. But I would like to start a stockpile. I know there are DIY threads here, but where is the cheapest or best place to buy concentrated nicotine? Are there levels of quality to this? Or is it all pretty much equal?

Also, how long will it last in a freezer?

Thanks

I buy all of mine from MyFreedomSmokes.com He has 30% off sales on it from time to time and I stock up during that time. Put yourself on his mailing list so you will know when the sale is on.

As to how long it keeps freezing it....I have heard several years but haven't personally tested it.

All up in your grill..
BE careful with concentrated nicotine. Even the fumes can be dangerous. Get gloves and a face mask. Take your time and work in a clean area. If you start feeling lightheaded walk away for an hour. The fumes from 100mg fluid almost made me pass out while working with it for less then an hour and I was wearing gloves and a mask and didn't spill a drop. Only attempt this if you are 100% sure what you are doing and be careful!

I haven't comparison shopped much, but I get mine from Wizard Labs and I really like the quality. I don't order the 100 because it scares the bejeezus out of me, but I buy large containers of the 36 and then cut it to either 18 or 12 for my juices. I know this isn't the most economical way to do things, but I'm less nervous working with the 36, so I'm willing to spend more. I always wear gloves and I'm very, very careful.

I was always the person who got panicky about running out of analogs, so I don't want to panic about fed regs on e-juice, so I'm pretty well stocked up, just in case. I have plenty of bottles of vendor mixed flavors and plenty of DIY supplies. I should be good for quite awhile.

After a year, can the juice hurt you or does it just lose some of it's potency? Is it safe to still use?

Yep, that's who I'm using for my nic liquid. I'm buying the 24 mg PG/VG mix, haven't been brave enough to try 100 mg, I tend to be a bit sloppy when mixing so I'm feeling a lot more comfy with 24 mg liquid, plus I don't have to cut it down any further as I usually vape anywhere from 18-24 mg anyways. I do have a bit of zero nic, just in case, but have 500 ml of 24 mg and another 250 ml on the way from this weekends 15% off sale. Watch their site and sign up for email alerts, Chris always runs sales every 1-2 weeks. Gotten some good deals on premixed and unflavored liquid and their shipping is FAST! :)

Do you have any links to some of those articles?

I haven't read any news articles reporting that FDA has plans to ban nicotine e-liquid.

If you are really worried about the conspiracy theories why not just start your own plan to wean yourself off nicotine completely? Then you will be invulnerable and invincible when big brother strikes.
Tnx. I'm checking it out right now.

Perhaps I used the wrong word. The word should maybe be regulate instead of ban. And I think if they "regulate" you will see an end to bottled juice because it'll be harder to regulate. Even if they don't outright ban it, they could make it a lot more expensive.

These are NOT conspiracy theories. These are bills being enacted... some at the state level, some at the federal level (see for example the fda's attempt to propose "deeming" language thread that's been discussed on here ad infinitum). See also the president of Blu/Lorillard's recent interview wherein he stated that they may have to make compromises regarding "loose bottles of juice" and negotiate with the FDA. What does that mean? Maybe it means you'll only be able to get pre-filled cartos, who knows what it means. Why allow the government to decide for you?

As for your comments about being invincible when big brother strikes, hey I like my nicotine. I feel it's my right to do whatI wish with my own body and health within reason. That's what freedom is. As for being invincible, why don't i just stock my freezer full of the stuff and then they can't touch me?

Wizard Labs (thanks Sailorman) has the least expensive bases and flavorings. I just made 240 ml of 18mg base (out of 36 mg) for like $11. TFA flavorings are $1.49 for an 8ml vial.

You can mass produce your liquid for cheap. 240ml should last me 1 1/2 months at my heaviest use...2 months as my average use.

While you can do it cheaper by buying 60mg and cutting it down more, it does start to get dangerous. When I was cutting my 72mg liquid from wicked labs, I wore long sleeves, gloves, apron, respirator mask and goggles. High nicotine levels is VERY toxic, and it only takes a few drops to make you deathly ill or even kill you. I also make sure to thoroughly clean my area and equipment and then wipe it all down and wash it with 90% Isopropyl alcohol afterwards.

Just curious, why thanks to Sailorman?

Because he gave the heads up to that place in another thread, which is how I found it. I like to give my personal credit where it is due...though I'm sure Wizard Labs has been mentioned by other people. :)

Oh, thanks! I was just curious because I didn't know if Sailorman had any relation to the actual vendor. He does give good suggestions, doesn't he? He gave me a whole math class in one post so I now kind of understand ohms. :)

I kind of follow that guy around too, he knows a lot of stuff.
