Soldered the board to the top black connectors from scratch. Chip turns on but still won't fire an atomizer.

Have you tried to fire with no connections to the output and use a meter to check for voltage at the board level? Pin's 7 & 8
Four coats of clear (matte) and should be ready to assemble soon. In all the excitement of getting all the stuff I totally forgot to get 18ga and 22ga wire.
Before I go too far which button do you guys recommend? Guessing one is more clicky than the other but if there is something else like height and such now would be the time to decide. I ultimately will want a metal one like shown on a GDNA.

the buttons are different. depends if you are using the tact switch or the alps

The Alp is quiet, but smaller and more challenging to solder, the larger button you should be familiar with.
resoldered the entire top cap again. it's still powering the board. considering it's only a negative lug and a positive washer, there really isn't anything to mess up. still won't fire any atomizer
a few times. it's definitely seated on the vented screw as when i really screw it down, it wants to spin the entire assembly
Kurrupt, you were givin a protocol to follow and you tools didn't allow you to, what more help can we give you?
I've never posted in this thread before, but have followed it because it's a Gdeal thread... As to the problem Kurrpt is having, just a suggestion since he lives relatively close to a few of you guys, (in PA), why not get together or send it to someone to problem solve? Just a suggestion...
I am pretty sure these are small screens. They only have two lines of text next to the battery icon, right? Resistance and voltage/temperature? That is the small screen. The large screen shows three lines with all values shown at all times.
Actually, I'll go measure... The big screen is 12mm wide. I think the small one is 9mm, 0.315" according to evolv's pdf. , I don't have an unmounted one to measure.
I'm ready to order prints from Sculpteo, but it says there are two thin spots - a 0.13mm lip in the top cap (in the button hole?) and another 0.37mm spot in an internal piece. Am I got to go to order, should I just ignore the warnings?

Went with Mag Silver and Armor black on the Cerakote. Was looking for something practical, efficient, something to give me a satisfying vape and aesthetically pleasing. It definitely met and exceeded my expectations
Even with the mistakes and frustrations I thoroughly enjoyed building this. First time building and soldering something like this, I just got done putting away the soldering station and cleaned up the work area and have to admit feel a little empty.....lol.... It was a great project! Thank you everybody for the assistance!

T, I took it to a local shop and got it done. Cost me $30, paint alone would of cost me $18-$20.
