My understanding was that if you tested them on upon arrival and reported any DOA's within 24 hrs of receiving them, they would be replaced.

Occasionally, you find that information in forums, often by people you should think they know. But when it happens to you, they tell you you are out of luck.

They reserve the right to send you stuff from their trashcan with that policy. You better know your consumer laws (that is, if US comsumer laws cover that kind of thing) when you order from them.

I'm not even sure I will order from them again when they offer 30% again, but sure not without that. No warranty, OK. But no protection against DOA, that's not acceptable.

Not acceptable AT ALL: janty gives 6 months warranty because the supplier gives them at least 6 months!!!

In fact: heavens-gift gives 6 months on atties and batteries...so it´s all about getting the customer pleased. TW does not care about it. Period. For me they are as good as dead.

Janty just got a BIG order from me...TW loss!

I did....the day I got it and no they wont replace it. I used to exclusively buy from TW, but not anymore! I think that any product, warrantied or not should be guaranteed to work when you get it. DOA and they dont care...they got their money.

Well, my Tornado battery showed up yesterday and I think it's ok. I had an issue yesterday when I was holding it and it got hot. Not sure if I was holding the button and just freaking out from reading the stories on here or not.

Hasn't happened again and to be fair the button is pretty easy to push and I was busy doing other things and not paying attention.

In the interest of high hopes I am going to pretend it was just me. But the thing does make me nervous about going to sleep after some of the stuff I read about it and the eGo batts. I put it in a metal can last night just to be safe.

Performance wise, I love it.

I just... and I do mean just swapped out batteries. Twoish/Threeish weeks of having my Tornado from TW... I had one atomizer go bad. So, sent that back, a week and a half later I received a replacement and 5 blank (empty) carts for free (Read: cost of shipping to them 1.90USD)

This very moment I am fuming angry and stressed. The battery that I swapped to is stuck *on*. I didn't notice it until I went to screw down the cone and I heard sizzling and was smelling burning. FIRE HOT atty. Immediately asked my husband WTF. Clicked the button on and off several times hoping it would -fix- itself. Burned out the very same atty they just shipped me.

My husband got out his multimeter and tested it and it was only giving out 1/4 volt. Battery is toast he said. Arrgh. :( This is not good for my vaping experience in the first month. Not at all. And of course the office in Bradenton, FL is closed. :( ....

This obviously wouldn't apply to brand new batteries, but as for those that are dying inexplicably, has anyone considered that the USB charger might be affecting it? I'm just speculating, based on a conversation I had w/ Jeff at Wordup.

I went with Wordup for an eGo instead of TW because, in part, was concerned about these complaints, some complaints I saw elsewhere about their customer service, and, above all, TW's short warranty period. Jeff stated point-blank that in his pre-sale testing, that while it was lightning-quick, the Janty USB charger didn't yield a "full charge" and he was concerned about it, so opted not to sell it. He recommended just using the AC. It takes longer, but I do generally sleep for eight hours a day, so that seems like a good time to charge the battery.

I know absolutely *nada* about electronics, but thought I would throw this out there for those who do to ponder.

Hello Everyone, I have had My TW EGO/Tornado for two days. I have both batts staying on, I also can not take a drag off Of this thing to save My life. I have never had anything that the draw was this hard. I will be sending them an E-Mail to get the whole thing replaced. I got a screw Driver from them a few weeks ago and that one rocks. I sure hope they do not give Me any problem about a replacement.

Finally my first post!!!!!

As far as the battery issue with the button getting stuck i found it to be related to the button itself getting stuck under the casing. (I would say it is a small flaw in the design....the button is not symmetric)
The solution that worked for me is the following:
If the button stays on on, do not panic, press the button down and try to twist (very gently) until you feel that the button rotated a little bit. Do not force it. Release it and is should be free once again. You will know if it is good if the button wiggles a little when not pressed.
I notice that this issue usually happens after i use the Tornado for a while and when i press the button not necessarily straight down (in brief the button getting stuck is my fault, since I saw that i was twisting it when it was down!)

As far as batteries getting fried, it could be because of the high discharge rate caused by the button remaining on. I also noticed that the tornado might have a built in circuit that prevents from fast discharge. (it basically switches off the e-ni if it senses that the battery temperature gos beyond a certain threshold....I have no confirmation of this, but my experience tends in favor of this hypothesis. When i clean my atomizers I usually dry them and then keep them on for 30 sec to make the excess water evaporate. This is when I see the light on the button go out when the battery gets a little bit too hot.)
I hope someone will find this useful!

You described what is wrong with mine and how I fixed it perfectly! However, I have not had the electrical problems you speak of :)

I had two attys that failed within a week and a half. I emailed them and they offered to replace them. I sent them back last Tuesday, they received them on Thursday, and I got my replacement attys on Monday. You shouldn't have a problem, long as you’re within the warranty period. The email address is returns@totallywicked-eliquid.com.

Concerning the hard draw, it maybe the atty is clogged or bad. Is this with both attys?

Concerning sticky battery button. Perhaps cleaning the area with a little water and rubbing alcohol mixture using a Q-tip can help? The button could be building dirt and debris with oil from fingers and hands in touch with it.

I got my Tornado last week and I am very impressed. I saw these threads right after I ordered it so I was a little concerned, but I'm happy to say that both of my batteries and atty's are working extremely well. I'm going to do regular maintenance on them (alternating atty's every other day and cleaning the one currently not in use).

I started out with blucigs. They serve their purpose but once I saw video's about the eGo/Tornado I just had to have one. I'm very happy with my decision and my advice to those who are looking into these PV's... get one! You won't regret it.

I have been using my Tornado every day and the problem seems to have taken care of itself, the button hasn't stuck for a week or so:D

I also bought two extra batteries and two extra cones in the other colors and haven't had a single problem with either of them

I've been using the TW USB charger with no problems whatsoever.... (knock on wood).....

I waited way too long to send the bad attys back but have to say that I'm completely happy with my Tornado purchase ;)
