I rebuilt on the Sophia V2 again just to get some practice. It tastes bitter this time. I know it had to be something I did since this juice tasted sweet before I rebuilt. Has anyone ever had a bitter taste before?

Now might be a good time to ask what you guys used to clean your rba's. Having been a carto tank person I have not yet cleaned atomizer parts yet.

Not sure about the bitter taste. Maybe the wick wasn't saturated enough??

I clean my Sophias just with dish soap and hot water and maybe a cotton swab to really clean out the inside. They really don't get gunked up and unless you want to sterilize them soap and water will do the trick to clean them. I wouldn't invest in the ultrasonic cleaner. I don't even use those to clean jewelry.

I have been using an ultrasonic cleaner as recommended by several members. Just add a bit of dishwashing soap with warm to hot tap water.

Supposed to be good for steeping too. Have you tried it?

You showed me the way to enjoy making a kayfun build and not turn it into a hobby. Single coil which is easy to make, cotton, and add juice. Keep it simple.

When I'm building coils it can take me a couple of tries to get the wire tight and by then I've lost count of how many wraps there are. I can't count the wraps afterward, since they are too small (even with readers), so it's often a surprise what resistance they turn out to be.

Have you tried these?

I actually tried 12 watts, then quickly went back to my safe zone at a sizzling 10 watts. I think the question is what nic level are you vaping? I've been stuck on 18mg since I started vaping.

even after 2 years ... I am in awe of the smooth vape, I get every time, I take a couple of vapes off these ProVari/Kayfuns.

I found another smoking convert through the guy at work I gave the Provi starter kit to ... I'm going to bring a ProVari 2.5 mini/IBTanked Halfling to work for him to start vaping with ... then I will coil and wick a FastTech Kayfun clone for him, with the recommendation he buy an authentic to improve on the quality and longevity of their vape setup.

Kayfun Lite V2+ with these cheap bellcaps ... even the short stainless drip tips are perfect for what I like.
