Absolutely Fabulous (which btw was a favorite show of mine with Edina and Patsy!)

Forgot all about that! Those two were great.

Hello everyone and good morning! It's a beautiful day in Reno today. Even if it's not morning anymore - but I just woke up. I have to pull a loooong shift today, and it's only my Tuesday. I will spend my "morning" relaxing on ECF - probably going to rewick.

Wanted to update that I've been enjoying my new toy for the past week or so - and I absolutely love it! I got the tiffany blue Classic. Topped it with my Lemo 2 at 1.1ohm, vaping my DIY tiramisu. It's lovely! I got spoiled with the battery on my istick 50w, I'm surprised at how quickly I can kill an 18650 - glad I bought those instead of the others!

I'm just getting into coil building. As in, I only used 3 coils the entire year with my Lemo 2, my first rta. The first was the stock coil, and the other two I just popped into a shop and had them build. Question - a nice length of nichrome came with my Lemo 2, 24g nichrom 80... can I build with this to vape on my classic? If I understand correctly, I should be fine as long as I wrap enough loops. I know to use the steam engine calculator, and it says I should wrap 14/15 times for a 1ohm coil, 3mm diameter and 5mm legs. I just want to make sure I don't fry anything before I try it. Anyone else build with nichrome, how do you do it and what works for you?

I also purchased my first mech - the telescoping Beacon mod from beyond vape. Plenty of research will be going on before I try it...but the reviews say it's a great first mech. You never know, when my provari dies in 10 years I might need a backup! It will be going into the drawer for now. Next up - time to grab 5-6 tanks. Going to update my paypal and hang out for a while on fasstech!

Hope everyone has a joyful and productive Friday!

ETA: Actually, it's 26g nichrome. I will still stick on the higher side of wraps, though, I'm not interested in going as low as I can go...

I decided to shop for some NIC today and looked at a different supplier that a couple friends recommended as their NIC is very high quality. Just before placing my order online, I realized they are only a 15 minute drive from my house (noticed the local area code).:thumb: I thought they were on the others side of the country until this afternoon. Cool.

Anyhoo... I ordered 2 litres of 100mg NIC and it was much cheaper than anywhere else AND I can pick it up in person. That could come in handy in the future.;)

I now have between 3.5-4.0 litres of 100 NIC which is enough for my wife and I to vape 5-6ml a day each for 13-15 years. Longer if we lower our NIC.

I think I am set. I don't intend to store 10-20 litres like some of you crazy buggers.:p

2 more liters of nic - two giant sighs of relief! It's great that they are so close to you! I've got about 1.75L stored...I need to get it into glass asap!
That's the worst part. I hate breaking litres into 50-100ml bottles. Total P.I.T.A.

I am gonna likely just store this NIC in a couple of 1l beer growler bottles. Solid glass with a good secure cap, so should be fine for long term storage. I have almost 2 litres broken down into 15, 30, 50 and 100ml glass bottles and I really don't feel like going thru that exercise again. ;)

But then where will you keep your beer ?!? Back-up growlers are in order. Great idea!

I did something weird today. I put a few more Provaris away in my vape drawer and brought out my Kanger Kbox and iStick 40.

I am pretty confident that my dozen Provaris will outlive me, but the iStick and Kanger? Not so much. I figured I would use them until they kacked.

Anyone else doing the same with cheaper mods, ones with non-removeable batteries, etc.?

P.s. I am still using my Radius, a Classic and a Mini and my wife is using a P3, Mini and a 2.5 daily, so not like I am boycotting ProVape. ;)

Nope, not using anything but my Provari's. I don't own anything else. I gave everything else away long ago.

My iStick is the mod that made me quit smoking and I haven't used it in 6 months or so. A bit of sentimental value there. Works great, but you can tell it is cheap vs. my Provaris just by how it feels in the hand. :)

For me, the device that finally got me off cigs completely was an eGo something. It died, so there are no warm sentiments I have for it. Others came after, some of which died, most given away. Provari's are the only mods I've owned that don't die. They just vape perfectly every time you push the button.

I'm using the few internal battery mods I own as much as possible, but I don't use anything exclusively.

But yes, I'm treating my Provi collection, along with a few other marvels, with a bit of mind on longevity.

I gave my hardly used Innokin MVP2 away to somebody who wanted one and couldn't afford it :) I still have my Lavatube, and use it on my bench for dry burning coils. I got a Vamo Sigeli 3 recently for ten bucks just to see if they are "just as good as a ProVari" like a forum member used to post all the time...They are not! the rattlesnake is in the vape :p

I'll be vapin' away on my Provi mods for a very, very long time. I got backups ;)
