That's the worst part. I hate breaking litres into 50-100ml bottles. Total P.I.T.A.

I am gonna likely just store this NIC in a couple of 1l beer growler bottles. Solid glass with a good secure cap, so should be fine for long term storage. I have almost 2 litres broken down into 15, 30, 50 and 100ml glass bottles and I really don't feel like going thru that exercise again. ;)

I break mine into 125's. One liter breaks down into eight, but I only do one at a time (obviously). Pretty quick & easy process.

One of the eight comes out of the freezer, while the rest wait to be called upon.

I do 250's. Cause I'm lazy, and cheap.

Morning all. :)

What's better, carefully packing the ProVaris away, protected with a silica gel packette, or cycling through each of them regularly?

Also, I have a mini with a spongy power button.
It works, but it's not responding like it should. Seems like you have to press much harder, and sometimes when you press it, and it doesn't do anything.
I can turn the outer part of it, then it's better. I'm guessing maybe a worn spot somewhere, but I'm no diagnostic genius....
Since they sell in the Specials section for $34.95, I won't bother sending it in for repair, but just wonder if there's something I can try to fix or help it.
It is one of the older ones (2013 circa), and I think you could give those an alcohol bath, but I'm scared to try that.
I have several back ups now, but would like to keep every single one running as long as possible. :)

We're all kind of guessing when it comes to the long-term storage issue. I've opted to cycle, but cannot justify the decision.

Is it a v2 or 2.5 (do you know?)? If the former, bath it. Heck, even if not (since you're not sending it back anyway), what's to lose? You might want to try contact CS, to see if they have any recommendations.

Or someone here might know. I'm thinking Willy or ENAUD, since they each have a farm of Provaris in their collections. :D

Most of my Provaris (10/12) are still under warranty so I cycle thru them regularly. My wife and I generally use 6 of the 12 every day.

I also recently pulled out my old Kanger and iSticks to use until they die to prolong my Provaris lifespan...

Check to see if the board is loose, take a q-tip slightly moistened with 91% isopropyl alcohol and clean the center pin, while doing the pin clean, aplly pressure with the q-tip and going back and forth observe the board and look for any movement. There should be none.

I've seen buttons that got some lint etc on them, look inside the mod and push the button in and loof for a dark ring on the plastic, I clean them using a pipe cleaner that is just barely moistned with alcohol. You Can keep turning the button to clean all the way around it. If neither of these helps, I'd open a ticket and see if they can check out the button for you...good luck.

I just took some of the empty boxes and cut foam spacer strips so each box stores three units. There's a stack of them on a closet shelf :) Long term storage of electronics , keep em cool and dry, I've got radios that are 20-30 years old and still running. There's only three moving parts in a ProVari. Not much to go wrong just sitting there waiting for use...

I do the same as E ... I remove the foam inside the ProVape boxes and store them bubble wrapped 3 per box.

@Katdarling - some questions of yours addressed here. :)

@LoriP1702 gently stick your finger in the tube to see if the board moves ... sounds like it might be a loose board.

as for rotating ProVaris ... I can't do it

IMO, I don't see ProVaris not working from sitting idle for many years

It's a 2.5 mini that I run with the extension cap.
I had purchased the extended warranty on the two purchased in 2013, but I think that only extended another year.
The board feels solid.
Lint or maybe body oils was my original thought as well.

Great tips and advice!! Will see what I can determine!!
Thank you all soooooo very much!!

I think that was my problem. It did have a darkish ring on the reddish plastic interior button.
I cleaned it up with a pipe cleaner, and just a tiny bit of the 91% alcohol, and it's working much better. I will probably do it one more time lightly.

Thanks so very much!!!!

Look for the ring on the clear button. the red one is a rubber boot that depresses the contact plate inside the switch.

The clear button looked fine.
I used my magnifier, but it's still hard for me to see really well down in there.

It helped though, seem to be reacting a lot better when I press the button, and I can cycle through the command screen more smoothly too. :)

That's cool, but you are being a bad parent to your other Provaris. Keeping them locked up and neglecting them like that. Terrible.;)

I just pulled out a gold Zenkote today as it looked at me with those puppy dog eyes when I was going thru my vape stash box. I just had to slap a tank on it.:)

I am starting to neglect my 2.5's that have the slant top 510 connector a bit as I greatly prefer the P3 on my P3/Classics and the 3 2.5's I had upgraded. I have no clue if I will want to use a 510 Kayfun or P3 Kabuki on any given day, so I like having a mod that does both 510 and P3.
