And I'm not 100% certain, but I DON'T think that's QUITE what she was hoping to see.
Does that girl have the Declaration of Independence tat'd on her leg???? Such a patriot.
Prolly not what she wanted to see, but where I cided to take it! LOL I can't read what's on her thigh.
I love the pavers!! I can't wait to see it all finished!!
I'm sure for your area, it will be much more enjoyable come Sept., to Oct. than it is the third week of July, but hey, it will be done, and hopefully you'll have some cooler evenings to get out there and enjoy it.Thanks. We can't wait to see it all finished too!!

Yeah, and it's basically the exact opposite here in IL.The great thing about living in Tampa is we can set our calendar to the 3rd week of October. That's the week the first cool front typically makes it through, sending the heat and humidity away. From then through May, our weather is amazingly wonderful. We'll get 6 full months of great weather to enjoy the paver area and spa.![]()
, and DH .....es about the hot, humid summers. I say I'd trade three months (or four) of being stuck indoors to get THEN ENTIRE rest of the year outdoors. What, something like 300 days of glorious sunshine?
It always happens around this time of the year...
but just reinforces my argument with my DH.
Yeah, and it's basically the exact opposite here in IL.
The cold fronts usually start the 3rd or 4th week of Oct., and we're sent indoors until the last of April or May...oh, and then we're sent indoors AGAIN, about the 2nd or 3rd week of June, until the latter part of Sept.
I'd always thought I wanted to move to FL for retirement, or sooner, and DH .....es about the hot, humid summers. I say I'd trade three months (or four) of being stuck indoors to get THEN ENTIRE rest of the year outdoors. What, something like 300 days of glorious sunshine?
That's why my nephew always said he didn't get it when people fussed about the hurricanes. He said yeah, it's an inconvenience, but if you prepare, it's a MORE THAN fair price to pay for 300+ days of nice weather.
I haven't looked, but I'd bet a small amount of money that we're going to have a more miserable day than Tampa.
...let me run and have a looksee. It always happens around this time of the year...
Amen to that!!People are often amazed to learn that in Tampa's history, the temperature has NEVER hit or broken 100 degrees. Yes, it's sultry and in the 90s every single day of the summer, but with the afternoon thunderstorms, it's often more tolerable in the summer down here than up north. It's longer without question. We figure it's a tolerable price to pay for the sublime winter months. Yes it is!
