i personally still cant figure out how they can have their cake and eat it too. if they would impose these types of rules on BT then they could do away with tobacco altogether. then we would all just have to deal with withdrawals and be done. at least that is what i would end up doing.

Signed

The reason I signed: I will do EVERYTHING in my power to get something done. If it works YAY! If not....I am fighting with every tool I have at my disposal. I am emailing/petitioning my Senators and Representatives. I am calling the White House, I am doing all the Calls To Action that is being requested of me.

Everything adds up to Fighting. Doing nothing adds up to letting them walk all over me.

I am still prepping for the worse case. Don't get me wrong. I don't think that anything we do will magically make it all go away. But I AM fighting. and prepping.

It's simple really. The government and the states in particular don't want you to stop smoking cigarettes. They make too much money from you smoking and the tobacco companies are losing customers too fast, either by death, quitting altogether or by vaping, that states are not getting the revenue they need and rely on from tobacco sales. They won't ever ban cigarette sales. It's too lucrative. Your health has nothing to do with this. Not one teeny tiny bit. And don't ever think that people dying from cigarettes is expensive. In the scheme of things, the longer one lives, the more the government has to spend on you. If you die early from smoking, you've ultimately saved the government a lot of money.

I'm with Robin. I may not be able to do anything, but I'll be damned if I sit back and just let them do this to me.

There's an old saying that is quite appropriate. "United We Stand, Divided We Fall." Don't Fall. At least from doing nothing.

Prepared we vape, unprepared we don't.

I've been prepping for a long time, I had a glimmer of hope that they would be reasonable. It feels like they took all of our comments, and wadded them up and wiped their bums with them. They appeared to be smirking and happy with themselves while patting each others backs during the Q&A part of the release.

I signed the petition, and will answer the CTA's that come out. Maybe they overplayed their hand, and the obviousness of it will be their downfall, a lot of people are going to be really ...... once they realize what just happened. Maybe they will protest, maybe not. It's sad that a large portion of the world looks up to us, and what they are looking up to is a nation of sheep lulled into comfort and complacency. Fat dumb and happy, for the most part. Me, I'm mad as hell, and want to share that anger in a meaningful way.

Rod, there was an article in The Wall Street Journal probably a decade or so ago where some economist figured if the government did ban tobacco use, and therefore lived longer, it would in a very short time bankrupt Medicare and Social Security. So it said, forget the tax dollars you need to die for those scams to keep running. The guy was probably right, IMHO.

:):)At least the FDA saved the children. A 16 year old vaping on a baseball field isn't cool.... Chewing tobacco is.... And so good for you too!

I thought Canadian politics were mental.... Your FDA basically bans vaping, The Donald will very likely have the codes for global destruction, etc...:)

True. Dying of cancer is expensive. Living to 100 is much more expensive to any govt.

Yep. Our government doesn't give 2 cents about our health and well being. It's all about money. And huge sums of that money comes from BT. This is why these deeming regulations sailed through without regard to anything we said. BT, get's all of the money from selling nicotine products, the government and the states get more tax revenue. It's a marriage made in............

From my understanding, all manufacturers will face a product freeze on August 8. This means that no new products can be introduced after that date or they will never gain approval from the FDA if the manufacturer decides to seek it. It is from August 8 on where they have two years to do all the necessary testing and reports for submission to the FDA.

Does these mean we have seen the end of all new devices from Provape by the end of the summer?
