There is no way ProVape closes down unless the FDA regs make doing profitable business impossible. If they can't be profitable, why wouldn't they pack up their things and go home? I hope this isn't the case, but I honestly wouldn't feel let down by ProVape if they had to close their doors. That would really suck, but they aren't a charity.

I now have 12 Provaris and another 1/2 dozen or so solid mods. I am set for many years. I am over 6 months smoke free and my wife is into her 3rd week of exclusively vaping. We were spending well over $5k a year on smokes and we ONLY smoked about a pack a day each. Crazy. I am confident that I will never smoke again and she is almost over the hump, but loving trying new juices and is rotating between 3 of my Provaris. Crazy to think that some governments would rather us smoke and die young than vape. My 3 year old might disagree with that strategy when she is a bit older.

If you keep in mind that we have the best Government that money can buy, you'll understand "lobbying by Big Tobacco" and the self-serving greed of our political classes.

Cynical? Moi? ...
I'm mad at you Amerians today anyways. :p

Your stupid FDA rulings are almost certainly going to be followed by my little puppy dog like Canadian govt AND BTW.... your holiday is Monday, it wasn't yesterday. My American work support teams were all strangely M.I.A. all afternoon yesterday when I tried to get anything done. Slackers. ;)

I saw that blog, but tend to think (or at least hope!) it was a quick emotional reply, given the date. I'm with BreSha6869 in thinking there is no way they close down on Aug 8. I'm still hoping that one of these lawsuits at least gets an injunction to delay the date so the courts can review.

Given that, I am preparing for the worst, hoping for the best. I have enough Provari's to last my lifetime and that of several more. Stocking up on coils, tanks, and RTAs ( I don't build, YET!). I bought some nic for the freezer and reading/learning about DIY. My husband and I will not go back to smoking.

THAT'S just it. The FDA regs do make doing profitable business impossible. Based on everything I've read, the FDA wants 1M for each product with no guarantee it'll get approved. Other than BT I can't think of any company that could survive such cost.

And what happens when they pay that 1st 1M & the FDA doesn't approve the product- is the cost reimbursement back to the company who paid it or does the FDA keep it?

They aren't going to close in Aug as they would sell as much stock as they could before shutting their doors. In a year or two maybe if the FDA regs stand as is. I'm not being negative either... it is sad that we aren even talking about something so stupid. The FDA and US govt is 100% to blame if ANY Amercan mod or juice makers shut down. I hope your govt comes to their senses.

That's the point. The regs have to be changed or 99% of the industry is toast. For some of the huge US juice makers that make hundreds of different juices at many different NIC levels to be forced to pay over a BILLION DOLLARS to have all of their products approved by the FDA is just idiotic. Worse than extortion. Reminds me of criminals getting multiple life sentences with no chance of patrol for 200 years. Why bother even having an approval process if 99.9% of companies can't comply? Besides the big tobacco companies suprisingly being the only ones that can afford the testing process, I mean....

What a whirlwind week. It's been one week since my father passed away. We sold our condo. We're moving into the new house in a month. I got off work early yesterday and we ordered all the ceiling fans. We also bought a really cool new kitchen faucet as the one the builder selected for the kitchen is awful. Today, we're ordering the fridge, washer and dryer, dining room and guest room furniture. We're doing shutters and a shutter company is coming to measure the windows in the new house on Tuesday.

We're doing our job to help keep the economy humming along. Yes we are!

I bought a $25.00 Scale to mix by weight (which I am digging).

Oh, and a case of beer. See I'm helping too.:)
I got bored of my DIY as I have been vaping it almost exclusively since Jan. I was in the US this week and had a bunch of stuff shipped to my hotel that I can't get here including Cuttwood Boss Reserve (120ml!), Jazzy Boba and Mother's Milk. I have happily been vaping these great juices on my P3 equipped (back from Provari) 2.5's in Kayfun and Kabuki tanks.

Oh, pool is open today, BBQ will be fired up for dinner, it is going to be over 90F and sunny all day AND I have a fridge full of assorted craft beers and coolers/ciders which I very likely will do some damage to. If I am up early tomorrow, it will be a miracle. ;)
