So, here's how our Friday started:

Took shower, had a fruit smoothie, life is good.

Electrician is working on the 220v line in the back yard. Guy is headed over to install more suspended shelves in the garage. Landscaper, who we met with last night is on his way to start the major project in the back yard. Life is good.

Charlie will be home with everyone and I get in my car to head to work.

Hmmm, the street is blocked and the electric company informs me they are replacing a pole on our street and cars can't come in or leave for several hours and oh, the power will be off until sometime this afternoon. I ask why and where were the notifications that would be required by law? They say they didn't have time to let anyone know as they viewed the pole replacement as an emergency repair. Bunk.

Now, we have people sitting in our home, without electricity, we are paying by the hour to do nothing waiting for power to come on.

Life is not good........Harumph..........
