Prodigy 3.1 3.7v battery question

Hello,
I just received the long aw17670 batteries to try some 3.7v vaping on the Prodigy 3.1 and when I screw it all together the atty immediately fires with the button in the locked position. I had to loosen it up to prevent it from firing all the time. Is that what others are doing with this PV? The 2 Tenergy 3.2 batteries for 6v don't have this issue.

Do you have a washer installed? if so, remove it.
Is the brass screw fully screwed in? if not, try it.

There is no washer installed. The brass screw is fully in. It has a 510 adapter so if I turn it counter clockwise about 1/2 rotation it doesn't fire so no big deal but just wondering if anyone else had this issue.

Also make sure that the spring is seated properly and that it's not crooked and touching the inside of the V3 tube. If so, it's closing the circuit and making you atty fire as soon as you screw down the adapter. Just a thought....

The Delrin piece that the screw goes into is two pieces, and the washer should be between them. Did you check there? I'm asking because a lot of people don't realize that there is a washer because it's hidden. Just take the screw out and pop that little Delrin dome out from the main Delrin spring base.

have you tried measuring the 2 RCR's stacked together vs the 1 17670 alone?

The plastic piece on the switch is 2 pieces. Take the dome piece off, and screw the screw in to just the bottom piece alone. try that to see where you stand

Did you buy this used or new?? my guess is a washer between the delrin plasic at the switch or the spring is not seated right..

You all were right about the washer. I didn't know that plastic piece was in two parts. I removed just the washer and put it back together. Now it works flawlessly. Thanks!
