LOL at this thread. I have 2 protanks that I have been using for a few weeks and they are great. I did experiment with the flavor wicks a little but I never leave anything alone.

Leaking has not been a common problem with the new version. It sounds like something is wrong. You should be able to take it apart and find the problem. My guess would be a missing o-ring or the coil is loose. They are simple to disassemble and troubleshoot.

I think they "love it" because it looks cool and its new and they own it...
Is yours leased? Payment plan?

I've noticed since I got my ProTank the ladies love me. I can use it on windy days and even go swimming with it.

I even got a promotion at work. My self-confidence is up since my ProTank purchase.

I've purchased two more since. Sky's the limit now...

I've owned a lot of things and got rid of things much more expensive than it because I didn't like them, a $20 glassomizer isn't something I would feel the need to justify.

With that said, the protank is good if, big if, you are conscious of what thickness of e-liquid you put in it though that can be said about many other things. Too thick on a stock coil and it won't wick, you need to remove some wicking. Remove wicking on thin juice and it leaks. I use mine quite a bit for going out, no leaks and decent flavor (for a clearo style design). You won't mistake the flavor for a genesis but it's better than a vivi nova or CEwhatever.

It's filled a niche for me, being nice enough and vaping well enough to not be disappointing, being cheap enough where I don't really care if it gets broken. It did shock me a little, I don't care for T3's, Vapeonly BCC's or evods at all.

this might be the wrong thread but alot of talk about rebuilding here... so i just purchased a k100 a few days ago and i will get it soon. am i better off getting an aga or ____ clone or just keep on rebuilding my vivi to the desired resistance? i'm not the type to want the latest and greatest when it comes to vaping. i just want a good vape that's bullet proof. i've been vaping my own built nova heads on egos for a few months. i figure i'll just lower the resistance once i get the k100.

I got my ProTank on Monday and put it on an eGo-c Twist (currently my only VV mod) and have found it to be a very solid tank. No leaks or other issues that some have had. The flavor has most certainly changed over the days I've had it and I suspect it will continue to change as the metal components of the unit begin to "season". My experience right now is that it takes 4+ volts for me to start seeing it's sweet spot. The flavors I normally use are considerably muted in this tank versus a carto tank system, but it is vaping like a fiend. I honestly think I can put some of the more spicier flavors, such as a Chai Tea or cinnamon mix in this tank and really find a great vape out those flavors. On the dessert flavors, the tank mutes them more than I prefer. I am mostly running a mix of 50/50 juices through it right now and the amount of vape it produces is huge, so playing with the wicks on my current coil don't strike me as a solve to get a richer flavor out of it. Aging the tank may help in my case as it does seem that the more I use it, the more the flavors are starting to come out. I have only put about two tanks through it so far as I am also playing with a BCC Mega Clear at the same time and enjoying the way it is vaping also. Anyway, I am going to also try another recommendation others have brought up here on ECF and pick up some evod heads to go in it and see how that works. I would have to say, even with it muting the flavors of some of the juices I currently use, it could really rock some other flavors I find too strong in my other carto rigs, which definitely fills a niche for me. We'll see how it goes. So far the tank has proven to be extremely ruggedly built and a very reliable vape. No leaks or other nonsense that others seem to have experienced with it.

Now, think about the reasons for leakage. Why do bottom coil tanks leak?

Because the wick hole where juice is allowed to flow is always submerged in juice. So the pressure of liquid is squeezing the juice out.

How do we fix it? Restrict the juice flow.

Now, why is juice allowed to flow to start with? So that it can get to our wicks. So theres the answer: use wicks to plug up the juice flow. When you rebuild, make sure to use wick materials with high density such as 500 mesh so that there is little space for juice to gush out. Also squeeze the two ends of the mesh wick so that it plugs up all the little openings nicely. Use a few strands of cotton or anything like that to crowd up the part where you main wick cannot plug. Dont worry about wicking too little as the liquid pressure is more than enough to saturate your wick all the time.

I just rebuilt mine once again with 500 mesh and ribbon kanthal, works great.

Just to add some input on this. i got my protank yesterday and so far i feel like it is doing well for how cheap it is. The only problem i had was one of the heads it came with so i recommend OP that you check the other head, plop it on there and see if that works. Another thing, i have heard that sticking the evod heads on it make it even better, better draw, better vape. i just ordered a few low res evod heads so im just waiting on them now but i will let you know as soon as i try it out. i have hope for it. but for right now i feel it is alot like the aga-t but the vapor production is a tad better, it is definitely my work/travel tank. these are just my opinions and everyone is entitled to their own, but i do suggest tinkering it a little bit more before completely giving up on it.

Bought a Protank from a B&M, enjoyed it so much that I went back and picked up another. Hoping I don't run into the issues some of you are having! So far both protanks have been rock solid with excellent performance. :vapor:

Man I'm jealous of you guys with B&M stores. Texas seems full them. I've discussed with friends and family opening one here and just get blank stares. I also have an" in" with one of the biggest online vendors. Wondering if I should. I know personally I'd be willing to pay a bit more to have it then and there.

Thanks for the replys all.. Ive been experimenting with different amounts of juice...Seems the more I fill it up, the faster it just leaks out..

Im gonna mess with using a Qtip like someone mentioned so that I can clean out the middle tube a bit so I can take a harder draw and maybe get a better flow going. I also am going to try the other head.

I forgot to mention that before using tank, I removed one, or even half of one of the wicks on the head like some have suggested. Maybe thats why! ;]

There ARE issues with this tank -ergo I don't think you can call the OP a troll. After getting a mouthful of ejuice maybe he should have waited a day to post. But the guy is not from "Middle Earth".

Told you it was a" troll" OP hasn't responded since starting the thread...
