Hello Imeo
I've returned my defective VIR+brass casing to the address Bitfumo communicated to me. It has been shipped on June 6th.
As of today, I still haven't received the replacement VIR. I've sent several mails sent to both info@bitfumo.it and thegoldengreekinfo@gmail.com emails in order to get an update and to request the replacement to be shipped, but I haven't received a single answer!
I'm very disapointed with bitfumo customer service, and start getting nervous about my replacement VIR.
Imeo, do you have any other way to get that issue sorted, or should I go the paypal complaint way?

dont worry Monk, I will contact him immediately!

It currently looks like one battery lasts for about one hour. Is that intended? In an almost unused Proteus, and over four days, a top-of-the-line battery (a genuine AW IMR 14500 650) dropped from 4.2V to 1.7V. Within three hours of putting a freshly charged battery in an unused device (with Penny V4 attached), the battery drained from 4.2V to 4.05V. (This is using a .6 ohm titanium grade one coil.) If this is WAI, I'm not sure I like it.

That said, the thing vapes like a dream. But a battery swap every hour? That's insane.

Yes the batt is the only downside of the Proteus but we all know that from the beginning. In almost a month with the Proteus I dont feel comfortable carrying it outside with me even when Im used to carrying with me multiples extra batts. Yes I vape a lot. Beside of that Proteus is like you said, a dream vape. Cant wait to have the Esterigon VIR conversion kit.

I also noticed the battery drainage. If I leave the Proteus with one freshly charged batt in the morning, when I got home after work the light blue is blinking.

So we should also be removing our batteries from the Proteus when it's not in use, or the Proteus will drain them to the point they are almost beyond repair? The device not only doesn't have any battery life (one hour per battery does not cut it), but destroys batteries if you don't pull them out of it whenever you might not use it?

If you vape at 210 celsius you can vape almost 3 hours my friend.
Proteus doesn't destroy your batteries. No chance!!!
As imeo said:

20. Battery autobalance: Proteus vapes without new adjustments even if battery is down to 3,45 volts.

And if you want to vape a little in the morning and then to vape again in the afternoon, you have to lock Proteus because Proteus checks per time to time your configuration so even if you don't vape some battery voltage could be lost.

One way to make these small batteries to keep their capacity longer for vaping is to charge them with low current.
500ma charging current it's a no-no situation, 250ma is much better, I charge them at 100ma with an Imax B6 charger.
Here is the info: How to charge Lithium Batteries
I had similar fast discharging batteries with Stealth+18350 and when i changed the charging current from 500ma to 200ma the same batteries lasted longer.

Have a new battery charger on the way. Going to order a set of new batteries as well, for further testing, since Proteus is now reporting that the batteries are shot. Will take a week or so for more results to come in.

You mentioned a battery at 1.7V ? This sounds to me as one that might be damaged. This voltage is way too low.

So, Jesse should be back on Monday and while the extra delay in receiving Proteus was disappointing and unfortunate, I'm still excited.

If I had his address, I'd send him a case of Red Bull so that he can work at "Ludicrous Speed" to assemble all of them and get them in the mail. I'm am sure that getting Proteus in all of our hands will be his top, and more than likely his only, priority upon his return.

I get in Monday evening and it is my plan to get everything assembled and packaged up and then shipped out on Tuesday.

I truly am sorry about the wait! thank you all for being understanding
