According to Vapor Joe the new Provari will be arriving within the next two months and he says he's verified some major details.

It's supposed to be a 24 watt device that has temperature control, the board/screen is being developed by Evolv.
There's also supposed to be a variety of interchangeable top caps like the svoemesto.
I'm sure there are some folks that will disappointed by the maximum output but most people (myself included) will be quite content with 24 watts.

hum.... where did you see that Evolv was developing the board/screen for Provari?.... here is what he posted:.... it does not say the Provari has any Evolv chip....

V J said:

Ill just leave this here...

Evolv is coming out with a new board that also controls temperature.

Provape is coming out with a new Provari that goes to 24 watts with an all new display.

This is all confirmed. I do not have pictures at this time. Within 2 months.

I took it that Evolv and the new Provari being mentioned together meant that Evolv were the chip makers.
There's a few other people in that ................. thread that think exactly the same thing - it's not implicit but I believe it's being implied.

I took it as two separate statements....

Provari is coming out with.....

If you are a member of that forum why not just ask Vapor Joe?

I knew someone would steal my idea and install a thermistor in a variable mod! It's happened.

I'll be interested to see how they implemented it. It would almost have to be a matched pair atomizer/mod for the temperature sensing to work. Does it have a proprietary tank/atomizer?

I agree with that assessment, it would pretty much have to be something proprietary. Unless the unit somehow senses the temperature at the base and then extrapolates that to come up with some kind of atomizer temperature, but even that would have to be perfectly calibrated for every atomizer and coil configuration.

Evolve and Provape both have repeatedly said that they have not been colaborating on ANY projects together, and as recently as the last 6 months. I read no implication from the Vapor Joe announcement that there was. Each line was a separate statement that did not involve the other.

That was my personal take on it and I don't mind being wrong.
I have to admit I'd prefer the board to be made by Provape

Seeing the thread title I was excited. Hope there is one coming out soon with a lower ohm cut off than the current model and at least 30 watts minimum for RDAs. I love my provari, but the 1.0 ohm cut off and the lower wattage are making it almost obsolete. I am a Provari fan, and I hope their next revision has those things. I would buy it in a heartbeat. The low ohm cut off using my Kayfun lite is what got me buying other mods. If I was too close to the low ohm cutoff I couldn't dry burn and squeeze my coil on the build, and I really enjoy 16-17 watts on my kayfun. Great vape and taste. Also, at least for me I really need 25-30 watts minimum on my RDAs. Back when I was using cartos and Kangers the max on the Provari was more than enough. These are just my experiences not meant to upset anyone. Just what has been working best for me. I really really really hope Provari steps up their game. I will be first in line for a new one.:)

I accidentally wound a .94 coil the other day and got the E1/E2 codes. I had to trash it it and try again. A few more wraps and I got 1.64. Kayfun is happy with coils in the 1.0 to 1.5 range anyway. When I vape a 1.2 ohm coil on the Kayfun/Provari I sometimes end up going down to the low end of the voltage range until the coil breaks in. I've actually vaped at 2.9v for quite a while on the Provari with a low resistance coil. Right now, I'm vaping at 3.4v on the 1.64 ohm coil and enjoying it.

It doesn't take much vapor to make me happy. Make it puff like a full flavored cig and I'm good! It would be nice if they could take it up to 6 amps just in case. That would be 6 volts on a 1 ohm coil at 36 watts. The AW 18650 2000mah battery is good up to 20 amps continuous with a C-rating of 10.

This is the reason I had bought a mech mod to dry burn my coils if I got too close to the cut off. Trust me. I am a Provari fan. I was surprised how much more I enjoyed the extra power on a DNA 30. I would love to have a more powerful provari that could run not only Kayfuns well, but RDAs. Kind of like going from cartos and Kangers to a Kayfun. It is hard for me to go back on less power. My vapes aren't hot and I am just getting more vapor and flavor. Guess it is just part of the process. I understand where you are coming from completely. I am happy for anyone vaping and getting a satisfying experience.

I am currently on a 1.4 ohm myself at 16.2 watts. Great vape and taste. Just like the Provari I ratchet up and down to find the sweet spot. Anyway I would love if Provari made one with more power and a lower ohm cut off. I would be all over it.

As I said "over there" 24 is so close, but so far for me. I have no interest in 30 plus at all but 25-30 is my happy place! Damn it. I personally hope Joe is dead wrong but anyway. Wishful thinking.''

Fully aware of the 'most vapers are happy with" point of view. I'm no way knocking provape. I was just hoping the greatest mod making company with the best customer service who makes the most solid device to the point where everything feels like a toy by comparison...would give me just 5-6 more watts. Purely selfish fantasy I guess.

If you're looking for a few more watts I can highly recommend the Dani Extreme. It has a 20 watt/8 amp limit and the build quality is even more solid than a ProVari. I like the ProVari but imo the Dani is the best regulated tube mod on the market.

I have the Pipeline Pro, which is basically the same as the Dani Extreme. It's my favorite mod by far. Only negative thing is that it takes a little bit of work to get something to sit flush, as there is no adjustable pin, but it can be done.

But, Cyrus Vap was looking for a few more watts up from the 24w that the new Provari is rumored to have.

awww I really hope that news is wrong too. More wattage is needed for me now since I moved almost exclusively to rda's. I loved my provari's when I was using them though, both the full size and specially the mini, but mechs are all I ever use now since I cant get the power I need, other than a few other mods out there. Had a hana clone but it just couldnt accurately read ohms well enough, kept jumping up 0.2 ohms or so every 4 or 5 hits and on a sub ohm build thats a throat full of burnt wick.... to bad
