You are comparing a Provari to a SID?

You need to start saving and get a Provari before that dies:). The Provari will save you $$$!!!

I can replace my Sid almost 5 times over before reaching the stellar heights of the porvari's premium price and the Loki ring.

As far as getting a good draw using a carto tank on a provari you can either go with cartos that have the flange on the bottom, that will give you a slight gap between the tank and the head and no loki ring is needed. otherwise you need the loki ring for a flush fit when using cartos with no flange or you can just unscrew the tank a bit but having a loose fit like that would be just silly and impractical imo

I just would like to know; who here was forced to buy a ProVari?

I don't understand that if the ProVari is so limited in functionality, what is the argument all about?
In this day and age what is so terrifying about buying a device that meets ones needs instead of harping on one that doesn't?

I don't understand the outrage non-ProVari owners have towards those who choose to use a ProVari.
You come to a ProVari enthusiast forum then proceed to insult us with petty & completely childish name calling while saying you're not bashing the ProVari.........just the people who enjoy the device they choose to enjoy.

This VW ridiculousness gets beat to death all day every day.
If VW is YOUR end-all be-all, then buy a mod with THAT feature and enjoy your vape.

the XL 22mm tank is where it's at! 4.5ml juice capacity = ADV no refills required. well, for me at least. The tank fits real nice on my Sid but the beauty ring from my PT2 with airflow channels lets it sit nice ans snug on my itaste vv/vw. Man does that big tank look funny on the itaste but it sure is a nice vape that lasts all day long and fits nicely in my pocket.

I don't think anyone is trying to talk you in or out of a ProVari if you are happy with your SID, but a Loki ring is only $20 and it's just for looks, it doesn't do anything. I think the Hippo thingy is the only one that affects airflow, but I don't know, I don't have one.

I'm confused about your description of using a carto tank, whether with or without a flange. I use both and screw them as far as they will go onto the ProVari and don't have airflow problems. They don't sit completely flush, but that's how the carto tank is configured. The threads show a little bit no matter what mod it's on, mine do anyway.

I ordered the 19mms to start out with as i wanted something small. I'll definitely consider your suggestion of the 22mm versions and the 23mm pics i have seen through the forums(snp, kir fanis) look gorgeous, which i will probably move up to if i end up liking the flavor and th that cartos give.

Only experience i've had with cartos are from local b&ms, and those are probably really crappy. Want to see what all the hype is about for myself.

The vape with a carto tank is very nice. Not everyone's cup of tea, but what is? The only thing that tastes better to me than a carto tank is dripping or a bottom-feeder (which is basically dripping). There are lots of popular RBA/RDAs around that are supposed to be amazing, but I don't have enough motivation to build anything.

I don't like cartos. They make my juice taste like sand paper!

Thats what i want to find out for myself. Some people seem to love them and some seem to hate them, and i want to find out which camp i fall into. I'm looking at more options than the standard fare(protank etc) and trying to buy variety.

I've ordered some ejuices where a sandpaper taste would be a step up.

crazy looking no? if you have a keen eye you may notice the carto inside is a bit short, this pic is just for perspective, the mega/xl size cartos I ordered at the same time as I ordered this tank got held up in the snow somewhere I guess, the tank got here Friday, the cartos will be here tomorrow if I'm lucky :p

Have you considered a Hyper Tank? BCC 5ml capacity, ≈ 22 mm diameter and made of glass. This puppy is seriously huge! They make matching drip tips too.

if you use a carto, like the ikenvape platinums, you can slide the tank all the way down the carto till it's fully flush with the head of the provari, the threading and flange have nothing do with it. The top of the provari head is flat with no grooves, so in theory, you shouldn't be able to get any airflow if you fit the tank down snug on the head of the provari. That of course provided you are using a 22mm or 25mm tank cause they both are a bit wider than the tapered heads of the provari and the Sid both. The Sid unlike the provari have 4 channels in its head allowing for airflow, so no matter how snug the tank is down, there's plenty of ventilation. If you are using an unflanged carto and are slipping the tank down snug and flat on top of a provari and are still getting airflow then I'm at a loss, cause due to the nature of the design, you shouldn't be getting any air.

You can get exactly the same flush fit with any carto tank on a Provari as you can with anything else. Matter of fact, the ONLY tank I know of that has trouble with a Provari is a $5 Vivi Nova BCD (which I happen to like and is now happily on my VTR instead of the terrible iclear 30S it came with), and possibly the Aspire Davide.

My current thing is RBA and RDA, but carto tanks:

I have a lot more carto tanks, and none have trouble with airflow on the Provari.

Provaris have no problems with airflow on any carto tank I've heard of.

I'm clear about the SID the air channels, which would have made the Tumbler work, but I don't understand how you are using the ProVari. How many different tanks have you used on a ProVari? I don't current have a flangeless carto in an IBTank, but I do on another tank. I just tried it. I can screw it all the way down on the ProVari and there is a little gap. The only way I can get the tank to be 100% flush is if I push the bottom of the carto up into the tank itself. The gap is what people tend to complain about, not lack of airflow.
