Hi everyone,

I almost took the dive yesterday and purchased a ProVari mini (From Provape, as my local supplier has no black with blue led) then I thought, will the new vmax be better?

I know that previous versions of the VMAX had issues relating to voltages being higher that displayed, so I dont know whether that has been fixed in the new versions...???

I want to purchase a line v2, and perhaps a few other bits and pieces (Genesis), or will be running DC tank setups.

Anyone got any input for me so that I dont blow hundreds of dollars that I can't afford right now :)

Many thanks in advance!

variable voltage is unnecessary with a rebuildable atomizer . get a good mechanical mod with a imr battery and youll be set . you control the resistance by number of wraps or gauge of wire .

Indeed, you wrap a 3 ohms coil then adjust your voltage according to how you wanna vape

Bad argument there sir :)

And for the record, the Vmax had a software update and still has a 5 amps limit switch and has a res meter...now does that put it above a Provari?

Discuss

im not saying its wrong or wont work, as there are benefits but personally too many bells and whistles for me . , from my experience the drop off from an unregulated battery is not nearly as noticeable when using a genesis compared to a conventional atomizer cartomizer ect. and will provide a solid vape through out the battery life, but i guess its part my personality , i drive a jeep wrangler , basically a tent on wheels , i like motorcycles that are stripped down to the bare essentials . i just love the minimalist look and feel of a mechanical mod

I'm a ProVari fan, I own several.

Setting up your first Genesis atomizer on a ProVari? That can be an exercise in frustration when you start getting E1 errors before you can spot the short. You could get lucky, you might not. ProVari shuts itself down when it detects a short. This is under normal circumstances a great thing. In case that's misunderstood you will not damage your ProVari setting up a Genesis atomizer but it does make it harder then with a mechanical mod. I can setup my Katana in no time. Sometimes have to mess around with the DID's for a bit between E1's.

I have no idea if the Vmax has the same kind of circuit protection or not so I can't speak to it.

jherron, i feel you, and I tend to agree.

However, I'm personally not "good enough" in regards to making coils, to be able to ensure that I hit an amp of so-and-so.

The provari will tell me straight off the bat what amp I have on my coil, and will allow me to adjust my voltage to ensure that I hit the watt I personally prefer.

It's a no-brainer for me.

Oh... and add to that the aesthetics that also have some importance... I just loooooove the look of the Provari Mini :)

i agree the provari is a good looking device and rock solid construction. i will eventually purchase one someday to add to the collection . youll get coil building down to a science eventually

Welcome , but for my money , I'd have to go with the Provari , had the vmax , didn't like it . Now have both the regular and the mini Provari's and like them both . Built like a tank , and look good . If you want to save a little money , check out the Vivi-Nova tanks , come with 3 re-buildable heads . Need a little tweeking to work properly , but are way cheaper than a Line .
