When I started watching Eddard "Ned" Stark was my favorite character. His Honor, his loyalty, his absolute convictions.
And all of that is why I don't think Ned cheated on his wife.

Game of Thrones question:
ok Eddard Stark sister Lyanna Stark was kidnapped by Rhaegar Targaryen older brother of Daenerys Targaryen.
Now Rhaegar does bad things to Lyanna and she has a baby Jon Snow.
So wouldn't Jon Snow be the rightful heir to the Throne?
My name is an obvious reference to Game of Thrones, to any who have watched season one. But it is a layered reference. When I started watching Eddard "Ned" Stark was my favorite character. His Honor, his loyalty, his absolute convictions. I was torn though, because I have always had an affinity for the Lion, which is the symbol of House Lannsiter. Not to mention Tywin Lannsiter is just plain awesome, as are his brood of ridiculously clever and conniving children. As I read the books following season one's close of the show, my admiration for House Lannister grew.
When the Lannisters and Starks came to blows, Eddards steadfast and rigid ways got him beheaded by the scheming and delightfully devious Lannisters. I had been won over to House Lannsiter for good, but I still respected Eddard. So the first part of the name is a tribute to Ned Stark. "inWinter" refers to his death at the hands of my beloved Lions of Lannister.
Perhaps most important, my favorite movie EVER is "The Lion in Winter". Now this movie is simply amazing. The story of Henry II, Eleanor, Richard the Lionheart, John, Phillip of France and their struggles to control England nearing the end of Henry's reign. When I started in other forums, The Lion in Winter in any use-able form seemed to be taken, so I chose this one instead.
My favorite line by Peter O'Toole:
I suppose all of that explains my Avatar. I just love the majestic look of a Pride Male and the amazingly complex social relationships that go into the workings of a pride of lions. I also chose that avatar here on this forum so that I could not be mistaken for a Stark given the mixed message of my screen name.
That is a lot of explanation. I could see no shorter way to do it justice.
Ah, but the official position on Snow, is that he is the sun of Eddard and Willa (some roadside wench from a tavern-not that I know anything of those sorts). Now, it is remarkable that such a wild story of the honorable Ned would fly unchallenged. I don't personally believe the tale. Sadly, at this point in the books, the only (living) witness to the truth of the matter is Howland Reed, and he doesn't even exist as a major character...
Why you think that?I don't think Lyanna thought what Rhaegar did to her were "bad things" - I think she ran off with him willingly.
Jon is a solid character for quite some time. It ain't over 'til it's over. When I look up House Targaryen they seem to make it a point to say the Targaryens marry brother to sister, often with three people to a marriage, to keep the bloodline pure
Which if Jon was a Targaryen and would marry Daenerys the Blood Line stays pure.
I just like to see something good happen to Jon the underdog lol
Why you think that?
So good to be back home and able to use the ProVari again! A week w/out it is way to long. As a side note, I almost got kicked out of the Cardinals/Colts game in Phoenix cuz A) some idiot was vaping INSIDE the stadium B) I asked him if that was legal and he told me yes, just not in the stands C) I was drinking and believed him D) I am also an idiot and did it and got caught. <sigh>, it's great to be home and not in some jail cell in Arizona.

Oh, you don't have to worry about being in a cell very long in AZ. They'll just throw you in a tent.

Tourney at Harrenhall.
Also keep in mind that the story that she was kidnapped and raped was Robert's version of events, and what else would you expect him to say about the fact that his fiancee ran off with the (married) Crown Prince?
Hey, you made it all the way to AZ. It's only a stones throw from PHX to HNL...

Wow, the stories behind my handle and avatar are uber lame compared to that...
I read the first 3 Song of Fire & Ice books and couldn't get through the 4th hardcover when it came out. I think I was disillusioned because Robert Jordan's next book was taking so long; sadly, as we know, he was sick and couldn't continue writing. Watched the first two episodes of GoT and couldn't continue.
Back on topic: I really shouldn't have gone to the JWraps website as it has me second guessing upcoming my ProVari Mini purchase...yet again! Being on medical leave is nice, but sucks sperm whale *bleep* at the same time.![]()
I just REALLY relate to Patsy. I even have a quality Patsy wig...LOL
Arpaio apparently will be in charge even after he's undead. Is Joe Arpaio still in charge?
at least it's winter. Tents in the summer that's harsh.
