Can't believe I never heard the writer perform this song before! After a few bars I was like, yeah...this is how this song was meant to sound. The other guy's version will forever make me cringe now...

Ooh, that reminds me it is time for another posting of this song. This song (acoustic) is quickly outstripping my favorite song, "Where the Streets Have no Name." I don't know why but it is just AWESOME in my opinion.

If I survive all this, I am buying some recording equipment and singing some versions of my favorite songs. The thing I missed MOST while I ALMOST dying of COPD was singing. I was so hoarse for like 18 months I couldn't. But I have my breath back, and of COURSE my parents, being my parents, decided to get me some opera singing lessons when the every two yearly musical happened and I was "Marian the Librarian" and the music director suggested it. I'm really an alto but dang if that opera singer teacher did NOT expand my range by an octave and a half.

I think if I could be any singer for life, I would choose Tori Amos what a true genius. However, she is her own brand of INSANE I don't think I could cope with.

Wow this song is pretty good too. I might pick this guy but I am not sure I could deal with the gender switch LET ALONE that PLUS being a big black man. But, he's like, great. Really.

He's like Lil Wayne. It's like a hypnotic voice. I could listen to Lil Wayne forever, in fact I think the ideal thing would be like, if I had the VOICE of Lil Wayne in my own personal body that would be THE SHIZZLE.

Kind of apropos too.

I swear the government needs to be taxing the internet companies for our relief. I think like, everyone is so overloaded and etc. because they all are home, it's reduced speeds for everyone.

We live in Douglas, I have set all my TV type things to the VERY lowest resolution. It reminds me of the fine times when you were like "people could be so beautiful!" HD does NO favors ANYWHERE in my personal opinion.

My work cut my cell phone stipend. Did I mention the only way for us to make things work was to get freaking VERIZON'S MOST EXPENSIVE PLAN which includes a Jetpack which has the MAJORITY of the data, because I couldn't connect to my computer with my phone? We had to buy a yearly plan and that STIPEND was part of it and we will be moving even MORE rural so all we GET is very slow Verizon.

Maybe it is not EVERY Jetpack that does this, but ours only WORKS if connected to ONE thing at a time. It was also VERY EXPENSIVE and we would pay huge fees to.... uncommit, And move to WHAT exactly? Plus we were planning rural and VERIZON was IT..

My cellphone stipend was party of this calculation. I may bring it up but certainly NOT NOW. At a later date, after the pandemic, perhaps.

It's really amazing what employers can do to you in a pinch. I mena, I have not experienced such working conditions before. But they hand you a sandwich of something more deadly than virus, as it contains ecoli and you just EAT it. Amazing, I would normally say, but wow.

I won't even get into when there is some "emergency" issue and they take over ALL the cellphone towers.

My phone continues to inform me I am in Mexico every now and then. They told me to turn it off and turn it back on when it happens. This was Verizon CORPORATE.

I did have this lengthy "help" exchange with them one time, it ended like so:
"You are the greediest corporation in the world and I hope you die. I have wasted enough time on this I think. The thing I hated most was every time you "transferred me" I got hung up on."

I have to say I admired their response, "We are so sorry you are having a less than optimal Verizon day! Thank you for using Verizon and have a lovely Verizon day!"

I texted back, "OMG are you a bot, or do they teach you really good scripts?"

Was left unanswered.

So yeah, now the government can look at that forever.

To be fair I think even the government may consider Verizon a PITA. They are. There's nothing worse than the BEST cellphone company you HAVE to have.

Oh wait, yeah politicians all have satellite phones, never mind.

Yes, the 5.6Mbps is correct and rather shocking. When Windstream bumped it up that high, Mrs CMD and I thought we were living the high life. It went from 0.5 Mbps to 5.6, you can imagine the gasps of appreciation here. A dial up USRobotics modem was nearly the speed equivalent of the 0.5 DSL. The only reasons for paying for the DSL, reliability of connection and it was a steady 0.5 while the USR seemed to drop more often and the speed (if that is the right word) varied considerably.

During the only period (years ago) when I played games online, I was overjoyed to finally get 56k dialup. But even though I only lived a couple of miles outside of a smallish town, broadband was slow to arrive. I was at a severe disadvantage when most of the other online users moved to really fast speeds. As a measure of what life seems to think of me, broadband arrived at the house I sold about 3 months after I left.

I know others don't have access as fast as what I have, but it's a clear example of good/bad news. Good: stable, fairly fast speeds. Bad: the speeds used to be 50% higher when evidently I was in a test market - one day that bump simply disappeared. And the worst part is that the speeds shown are the base speed offered at $69 a month. Yes, there is competition since ATT says they are in the broadband market here. But it's ridiculous in that they can only do 8 mbps for the price of $50 a month. Of course, Charter is aware of this and raises the base price at least yearly.

All y'all fancy highfalutin folks,,, no, I don't remember how fast the internet was.

Depending on where I am at any particular time I do well to have enough service to make a voice call, sometimes send/receive text message is as good as it gets.

Without cell service there is no internet available, who are these ISP's? where can I find one to punch in the throat so I can have me someathat high speed internets stuff.
