On the one hand I agree. The canyon is completely amazing and breathtaking. I loved it.
On the other hand I disagree. I'm a living breathing unfathomable sometimes smelly being. Rocks and stone and water have their being-ness, but not such to make me say I'm nothing.
Well, I knew I was nothing before I saw the Grand Canyon but seeing it confirmed it.

Bordertown of ProVariland and REOville
I've been to AZ three times, the last one was we flew into Vegas, had our bikes driven there, and rode to Sedona. from there we rode north, then southwest to CA, and then on to Nogales, and crossed the border for lunch. Then we rode up the east side of the state and then back to Sedona, and then back to Vegas...cannonball run through the desert on bikes. the desert is beautiful, but the the most striking visual for me the whole trip was where the wildfires had occurred..it was eerily silent there, and the charred stumps that went on as far as the eye could see was frightening. I have yet to see the Grand Canyon...the guy leading the motorbike trip said, it's boring...just a big hole in the ground
