West Virginia State Motto
"Montani Semper Liberi" (Official)
The West Virginia state motto is a Latin motto and in English it means "Mountaineers Are Always Free".

Here I come, I accepted the offer! Yay, getting excited. The job in CO was to START a methadone program and an ambulatory alcohol detox program and while I am sure I COULD I am not sure I want to. The interview was a little bit meh but it really, IDK. I'm going to a state where there are mountains, trees, and I will always be "Free" works for me, man.

I think (hope?) I got a few months. The federal background check takes a while and I have to get fingerprinted and like, a medical fitness for duty and then they run around asking people about you and checking for felonies or whatnot. However I have yet to fail a background check yet, and well, I think it will be fine. I finally got the answer out of my HR department I am allowed to just resign but their terrible, awful, not even incorporated ....ty benefits are not worth a medical termination, the Feds don't care for that. Luckily, I am still in the time frame for an expedited review for SSDI and so I won't lose medical coverage and I will get backpay from my last day of work. It won't be exactly as much as the private disability company (although I will do what I can to make them pay my 7 weeks, just not holding out much optimism) but either way, should get us out of Douglas AZ okay....

Clarksburg, WV. I love it there it's so pretty! It would be fun to meet up :)

Oh, Clarksburg. That is where the fed's nightmare land navigation course is. Serious going from point to point in a hurry. No particular rules other than must travel by foot without any assistance and arrive at each stop with the same, no food/no fire in it, ruck. 10 days of "do you want it?"

Be careful about any entrance exams.

Entrance exams? I don't think the doc is gonna be like, uh, "You need to complete the federal nightmare land navigation programs." If you think I tell people all about how crazy I is on entry, well no, I do not, dude. They don't get meds from me in particular especially if the drug test is, ah, private which I believe it is. This is a civilian position though. I think I could pass it missing a foot.

Let's hope I am not missing a foot by the time when it comes. I think they just want to ensure you can take a TB test, have your shots, and whatnot and you are not suffering from the consumption or whatever.

IDK maybe I should take a look. I gotta redo my very poorly scrawled 10-2850c form and I just love how, upon one day soon I will lovingly recall them as that not "the federal version of the form that means you haven't killed someone and enough folks like you to like, provide you with a reference.

That's great! I suppose I should say That's great DUDE. Lol.
I love the state motto. It's also one of a handful of states I've never been to. I have to be fond of it because of JDenver's song, which is so warm and sweet.
I wish you well.

Oh MY GOD. I KILLED what appeared to be like a SPIDER thing, and it was half as big as my hand. I decided to call it a WOLF spider because all the other options are so HORRIFYING. But it was edging toward my Theraflu and there was NO LITERAL WAY IN HECK I was gonna scream loud enough for the husband who is outside to have a) heard B) CARED c) came and d) rescued.

I have decided the thing I hate most about our Douglas home is it is just BUILT FLAT on the ground. In full spring/early summer we can freaking perimeter INDOORS and OUTDOORS and like, it don't matter. THERE IS NO Concrete slab or steps or ANYTHING to NOT dissuade the freaking bugs but POISON, dude and you can only spray so much. Not even a crawlspace.

HUMANS we need to live in (non venomous tree houses!

Are we like cave men, building our reeking fires against the entrance of the home in the hopes of like driving away the insects. Well in DOUGLAS we are. NO crawl space or insulation even and to be fair I have been bit by many THINGS but that spider was HORRIFYING. It lifted it's little spidery legs and APPENDAGES to fend me off but I was like KING KONG. No choice.

Yeah, I could have lovingly ushered it outside to return to "OCCUPY my HOUSE" but I vote DOWNTWINKLES on that!

I bet I could make it a long way with no food, quite rapidly or if like, mandated by the spider. Or you paid me enough. I'm guessing that spider was worth 10 K.

I was just sitting down to my Theraflu and the THAT and I figured out why I am so hateful today I ran out of a med like that if you forget to fill it (I REMEMBERED my online pharmacy forgot and then I had the whole uh, hospital thing and it slipped my mind.) Fine *I* forgot. It's not super fun to stop. I mean, it is also not great and you can get seizures but long ago and far away, my doc and I put together a little "anti seizure kit" for when things like that happen cuz they do not often.... but then the SPIDER. OH GOD.

I ask me, "Would I hire myself?" and then I say, "Why Anna yes I DO. Because I don't forget other people's medications and well I am no doctor or anything but you can make handy contingency plans for like when THEY do and it saves lives. Not the spider's but you can't have everything.

But the spider. It is DEAD. I am torn between showing it to the husband and like rinsing it down the sink. He is not going to believe me but I don't want to like, trip over the thing hiding its corpse from me either.

Decisions. Decisions. I don't want to be any hearing "live with bugs" either. It's not like we even have FIREFLIES here, just stuff that wants to poison and lay its eggs in you. I'm done with the damn desert.

Dem sneaky WV VA be FASTRACKING me. Oh, I turned in my background check YESTEDAY and the recruiter had the Tucson scheduling me with fingerprints TODAY I pushed it out as fast as I could a week, but they are doing it! Arrgh! They just can't accept like, I am an insane chick who WILL YES take a pay cut to move to WV. I MEAN. I thought I might get a month of peace and quiet, and like then plan out the next 3 months with the husband.

Yeah, in a month I will be overpacking my car and driving halfway across the country (I can't FLY with what I need, which includes a vehicle to drive to work in and trying to determine which rather inexpensive rental home is the least haunted. The poor husband gonna like, have to stay here alone and pick up the pieces. :(

While I feel much better (especially since my meds are fixed) it is not supposed to occur this way. 4-5 months, they always say. I might just call the recruiter and be all like "Unless I die, I'm coming so why don't you add all that fast tracking to you know my salary.

I guess it's nice to be wanted but holy jesus yeah like.... chill, man.

I did pray on the night of Laila of Ramadan to get out of this hellhole ASAP. I should have added in an orderly fashion and well rested. That is the problem with that night of prayer you really got to think it through.

Oh well, I can view it as an exciting adventure and it will be fun to be around vets again, since when I moved to Tucson I started volunteering for a vet organization and I miss them. I mainly started cuz I needed stuff to do. LOL but I love vets.I find that a more enjoyable way to "give back" than a patriotic song on a Memorial day. Many vets I know are not overly fond of that day, but not all. I have learned to ask, "Would you want to be thanked for your service today?"
But man... Yeah, I can have a lovely time at a VA I happen to think, especially the department I will be in, and DBT Groups and yay!

Trying to stay on the happy side of this. I mean my CURRENT job they were all "Meh" on it and my supervisor told me I emailed too much. She also did not tell me it would like take 14 weeks, either.

Everyone I like is leaving. It's sorta cool but depressing, I mean when they started locking the bathrooms for staff and needing a hall monitor I was like uh DUDE that is no place to be associated with. I think COVID was so damaging because admin have ALWAYS been psycho and that was who we were dealing with and they were especially psycho and remain so. Sheesh.

Oh well, thank God we did not buy land here, OMG. Also thank God my energy is coming back. I almost did yoga but then had to have a huge fight with the husband about my phone, which I DO NOT ADVISE THE DOUGLAS VERIZON PHONE OUTLET for purchasing a new phone I am FAIRLY certain they sold me an old one as new, and it did not last long and I am usually good with phones, etc.

Yes "Ad
