I saw that Stan Glantz had his thumb in this pie:nah: I'm so glad I listened to the folks warning to prepare early on.

Maybe he'll just go fly a kite then?

In an electrical storm.

As you can see the funding he gets from telling lies goes mostly towards food.

LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Funny but you'd think he'd take issue with Big Macs too, wouldn't you? His degree is showing.

Hi y'all! I started a thread over yonder ...
Disappointing service life for Aspire Nautilus BVC coils lately
Then I found my way to this thread where the question might be more appropriate. So, is short service life of Aspire nautilus BVC coils 'a thing' ... ? As described in the above thread, I've only been getting maybe two days per coil. I know this isn't an Aspire knook, but I don't know where that is, sorry.

For convenience, I'll copy/paste here:

I'd say your burning your coils. High pg should make a coil last longer but high pg doesn't need as much power as high vg. 3.8-4.2 volts or 8-11 watts should be plenty.

What else are you using in your diy mix? Some flavors are coil gunkers in anyithing over 3%

Any herpetologists in the room?

I've spotted this fellow in my mom's back yard several times. Can anyone identify it? I got some new pictures today while he was apparently hunting for frogs or small fish ... or maybe just enjoying the gawd awful Florida heat and blazing sunshine. He's not a moccasin, nor any other kind of poisonous snake, since the only venomous snake in Florida with round pupils is the coral snake, which it obviously is not.

This is from a sighting perhaps a month ago, on land.

He's one of several snakes who live in her back yard. I'm just curious, not fearful. What the heck is he?

Oh, I'm in north Florida, in case that helps.

Florida is getting some hybrid snakes from what I hear. The pythons are cross breeding with some of the local snakes. That one looks more like a ball python to me but you might want to talk to animal control to get confirmation on what it is.

Search for Florida snakes to find a good state guide.

My Nautilus mini coils I purchased from FT, 3F, and MFS all look like this, and according to the scratch test, are auth. I have eight 5 packs but have only used two coils so far, and those two seem ok to me.

Perhaps I stand corrected...

I didn't know if I should name the vendor or not. Since it might be relevant here, it wasn't eBay. I got this batch from Mt. Baker Vapor. I also buy from Myfreedomsmokes, but their price is just a tad higher.

Thanks for the snake thoughts. I've tried a number of the online identification guides. For a non-expert, this can be a bit tricky because individuals from the same species can vary quite a bit in coloration. Hmmm.

I, too have noticed shortened life on my coils. I thought I got a bad box, but it has now been 3 boxes with about 2 to 3 days when I was getting 2 to 3 weeks. It looses draw ability (it gets really tight) not flavor loss. I haven't changed anything. My coils came from myfreedomsmokes, evapes and virgin vapor. I didn't verify authenticity though. HTH

I think it was @Ca Ike who gave me/us the tip to flood the coils occasionally, which has made a big difference for me. Just loosen the bottom a little (standing upright) until you see bubble rise. He said they some may just be drying out, and far from "dead". In my case, it pays dividends.

I hope it helps you (and anyone else) too.

I've never dealt with animal control folks before. I'm hesitant to do that because I'm not necessarily wanting the snake removed. Her back yard is like a nature preserve and this guy doesn't seem the slightest threatening. Might even be beneficial if his menu includes rodents. She's got a small black snake that hangs out there too, LOL, along with dozens of lizards. I think it's kind of nifty.

I mentioned elsewhere that I had checked out a couple of the online identification sites. And I found several close but not perfect matches. The coloration varies from one individual to the next. And to make matters more difficult, my vision is less than perfect in the color department.

Yep, it sounds just like what I'm experiencing. Thanks for the info. So, it's not just from one vendor. Frustrating.

I want to be sure I understand what you're saying.
How does the coil 'drying out' cause a too stiff draw? When they're brand new, bone dry out of the box, I give them a test draw before I even install them. I have rarely had a bad coil out of the box with a too stiff draw, but it does happen. My point is that a good coil won't have that problem even if 'dry'. Or am I misunderstanding you? Wouldn't that condition cause a burned taste?

Also, are you talking about Aspire Nautilus? If you loosen the bottom with the tank upright (drip tip at top), isn't it going to leak liquid?

Thanks for clarification. I'm probably just being dense.

Sorry - I didn't realize you meant out of the box. No - it shouldn't be tighter than normal. As others have indicated, it may be a bad batch.
