@Hobbs , this build is still hitting pretty good, even though the legs are getting ugly, but you should get the jist of it:
full

Here it is all filled up, re-wicked, and ready to roll. The wick just needs to go through the hole, and it is cut at a taper so the skinny part can be fed through the coil and hole, leaving a little breathing room in the juice channel so it doesn't lock up. I can chain vape this setup till the tank is dry, keeping the mod horizontal when taking pulls on it.

If you want a cheap beater Gennie to play around with, look for an RSST, the plastic insulator is really easy to hog out with a drill bit on a pin vise. They vape really well, but are not even in the same league, quality wise as Zens lovely atties. The fill hole is much larger, and seals with a little silicon plug. The top leg is captured by a spring and washers, sounds hinkey, but it works.

I grabbed a bunch of them when vendors were blowing them out at like five bucks each, for the Vapocalypse stash...

No sir. It's just old family stuff that I was fortunate/unfortunate to end up with. But I think you're into it and thought I'd share.
I kept my old Argus C3 with the manual, a before the wall came down Exacta, and a Minox mini spy camera, the rest of my film cameras are gone, dropped them off at a thrift store and figured they'd wind up in the right hands. I love to look at the old stuff, they were mechanical works of art!

The photo really caught my eye though, great character and a poignant shot, real life stuff captured and preserved.

Typical of my Great Aunt Mary. Get all dressed up to pose with a fish LOL
She and her husband would own a china shop/jewelery store up into the 1950's when he passed and she sold it and most of the inventory off. Some of the jewelery is still here and there in the family.

i think it has what would be a German "Zenkote" and holds 20700 and 21700 batteries. also has 22,23 and 24mm adapters.
Dicodes Dani 25
i think that's what they're talking about in this video:

After just a short time vaping, I knew I wanted a higher quality vape than the Korean, Chinese etc stuff that flooded the market.

I closely compared and weighed against my style vape, HoH, ProVape and Dicodes. I'd decided I liked Dicodes best from what I could see in pictures, reviews and video ... but could NOT find anything available in the states. Only from sites in Europe ... so moved on.

I have no need for anything larger than an 18650 which holds a useful charge for several days and low wattage vaping. But I think Dicodes stuff is sa-weet no matter the size. Still don't have any hands-on though.

Well, I must say, that sure is slick looking. I've done research on these before and must say, if we didn't have enough ProVari's to last the rest of my life, I would probably go this route. Don't have to, though....so won't.

There was a time I was seriously considering Dicodes, still would love to have an 18650 device from them, but the same reasons you stated steered me away.

I chose to go down the ProVari path and REOs mods path because both were quality domestic makers. I invested heavily in product from both, acquiring new, and second hand gear when the price was right. There are a few other mods like the ZNA Lite, and the Jac DNA75 that I have to play with, and someday, if I see the right Dicodes device on the secondary market, I'll probably snag one, timing and funds available that is. They look so solid and have such a clean look to them.

I digress. Still glad I went with ProVari !!! Took another look at the Dicodes and you don't even get a spring loaded center pin until you jump up to the Dani Extreme V3. THEN I took a look at the V3 .pdf user manual ... Dude, you'd have to be a German engineer and chip programmer to love this thing. So glad I chose ProVari.

Caught my eye:
All I wanted to do was clean off a counter top.
Make some room in a closet for a small box of vape gear.
Got side tracked.

How special you found a Brownie. DH used to be into photography and he says he's jealous. He always wanted one.
