Oh, I hate squirrels too. One got trapped in my dorm room once, (long story) and it was an unpleasant scene. Two terrified, trapped creatures, one armed with a broom, the other already ahead due to it being a rat with a fluffy tail, facing each other down, and attempting to get near the window screen, which fell back into place after its entry (I used to, illegally, smoke in my dorm room, only I was such a scary soul in college, no door manager or whatever they're called was going to question me on it.
I really wanted to just open my door room wide and send it into my (all women) corridor, but I couldn't bring myself to inflict my problem on EVERYONE, so a very tense time was had until I could get near enough to "reopen" its bolt hole, and squirrels make AWFUL noises when scared, and well, I eventually got near enough to the screen to knock it back out of position.
It was a shameful moment. More in the sense of, "How will I manage LIFE if a damn squirrel can so easily ALMOST defeat me?"
And, OMG, I took a look at at the husband under the house, redoing insulation. A quick look was enough for me. He did find some large ball under there too, and thought it might have been a concealed ruby or something. Turned out to be a big ball of jolly ranchers collected by our packrat. I think he's dead, me and the husband got pretty pellet happy with the pellet gun there for a while. Oddly, packrats are just as bad as squirrels, if not worse, yet I have no fear of them, even a sort of grudging admiration. EVEN when I discovered one was coming in to steal my jolly ranchers, and for a WHILE, I was sharing the jolly ranchers with the packrat. OOOHHHH.
Yet, I am still alive, and also had no issues shooting them.
So really, guns don't shoot people, a nice gun would have totally SOLVED my squirrel issue, although I'd imagine questions would've been asked. LOL.
My husband has been spending so much time outdoors, critters start to approach him al-la St. Francis, so he thought. I was like, "Nope, dude, they're just not scared of you because you smell like dirt. All the time."
LOL, maybe St. Francis just didn't bathe much.
I apologize for this post, I do have a radius question, though? One of my displays is having a hard time going from "full" to empty. It registers as full most of the time, then dies. I've cleaned the contact, and even replaced the battery. Any thoughts on how to fix it, if even at all possible? It's not really a HUGE deal and otherwise seems to be functioning normally, it just goes dead on me from time to time without much warning, but otherwise seems to be fine? If anyone has a clue, I am all ears.
