Hahaha.. this is funny.. and so much how I felt when I came to this forum thinking to upgrade from my cheap little ego battery and ce4.
I was blown away by all the things I had to learn in order to vape.. and I have literally spend hours upon hours since trying to learn enough to use devices with a modicum of understanding.
I have never used an unregulated device, provari is my third variable device... the first variable device I had I didn't like so I didn't use it, and the second only adjusted within a 6 watt range (yes, I wrote it correctly, a 6 watt range not volt..) and I only used that a short time.
So honestly, I've not actually been using anything variable long.. I've spent a year+ trying to learn it though.. although I have a more difficult time articulating what I understand of it, as these are still basically foreign concepts to me.
An engineer I'm not! And time and time again I think I need an engineer to explain things to me again, just to be clear!

It's a man. A straight man - married with kids. He used to be part of a musical style in Japan called "Visual Kei." The men dressed like woman, but extreme; like Kabuki. Here he is in a band when he was about 19 years old. He's the lead guitarist.
