any p3 shows 87 %.Battery only charges to 87%, is that according to the charger, or the P3?
Yeah, well even though I was born in 1966, I use a cane and am O2 dependent. I had my left eye lens replaced, bilateral hip replacement, had my left elbow bone shaved to tuck the outside nerve back in, had my nuts cut, and my uvula and tonsils cut out and removed. I've also had pieces of my lungs removed for research. Oh, yeah and my wisdom teeth removed. Despite all that and looking older than all of you, aside from my wisdoms, I still have all my teeth and no fillings. Take that!I was almost out of the army in 1966. I keep my walker close by, one in the house, and one in the car. I use a cane to get between the house and the car. It's a good thing I don't have to hurry to be places anymore.![]()
If I ever had an 18350 above 90-92, it wasn't there long even when the battery was new. When fired just once or twice or scrolling through the menu once or twice, it would drop into the mid to high 80's.any p3 shows 87 %.
You might could get a month or a couple more months out of that battery, ya never know, I've had some hang on for a while at the poor/good stage, sometimes they'd show poor, and halfway through the discharge they would read good, then back to poor again.any p3 shows 87 %.

I keep about eight of each size in rotation, and a couple months ago tossed all of my 350 and 490 cells because they were all old, like two to three years old. When I put new ones into the rotation, I wrote the date on small strips of paper and taped the dates onto the batteries, i probably won't be too concerned about any of them for another year or so, and then will start going through the whole pile of them checking the IQ to see where they are at as a group. When I do this, I usually mark each cell with its rating with a sharpie, just Like I did when I got my first P3, for me the IQ function is only used when I am in question regarding the health/ age of my batteries, other than that, I just don't look at it. When I do use the IQ to test batches of cells, I make sure every contact point, including the 510 connection and ring threads of the 510 connection, are sparkly shiny brand new looking clean...
Does anyone have a list of what Provape devices cost new when Provape was in business ?
I saw an unused radius on the bay for $400 !
I’m not interested but that sure sounds high.
Yep, that’s why I asked and why I’ll toss it.The battery is the heart of your ProVari's, arguably the best vape devices ever made, why skimp and go on the cheap with crappy or questionable batteries to power the best mod ever built? In the end you are using the battery to vape, the ProVari only regulates what that battery delivers to your atomizer, some used to say, the ProVari is a very expensive battery holder, this upset some ProVape fans, but truth be told, there is sound logic in that statement... .03cent

The batt was an AW 18350 and I run them them down to about 18%.The 18350's I had that read in the mid to high 80's a year ago still work fine in the ProVari for me. 2-3 years is about tops for a lithium battery. If some go bad before then ... I may be a) Using the wrong brand battery b) Not cautious of environmental concerns such as temperature extremes c) Not properly charging / allowing the battery charge to almost completely deplete every time before charging d) Just plain doing SOMETHING wrong.
I have a fine automobile. I only run Optima batteries in my Jeep. The batteries are warranted and guaranteed to function for a specific period of time. It would be unreasonable to expect that 4 years in, the Optima would still perform as new. That does not however mean there isn't a year or more life left in that battery or that it will fail to function flawlessly at any moment in that fine automobile.
EDIT: [off topic] When I fill up with gas, my Jeep fuel indicator shows above full. I then can drive about 30 miles before the needle on the gauge even moves. Sometimes only 20 before it moves but that's with a lot of stop and go that might have something to do with it. dunno. Then when I get to E ... I KNOW there is still a little bit of gas in there. AND when the gauge shows 1/2 full and I fill up ... it always takes a little more than 1/2 the gas tank capacity to fill it up. Why is that? [/off topic]
What were the prices for P3s ?I don't have a list, but I know some of the more fancy ones were around $300.00, I think a plain black one was around $260.00. I did not get a Radius until the end, when they got marked down below $200.00, now it is my favorite Provari.
KAS
When it first came out ... "The ProVari P3 starts at $249.95 and includes a one year warranty." ... which was about $90 more than the orignal ProVari started at when first introduced. But yeah, they came down in price pretty quick all things considered. By the end of 2016, they were under $200 ($150-170 range). Except for special editions or metals. What were the prices for P3s ?
I have been sitting on a little stash of AW cells, I had a bunch already when ProVape started dumping stuff, and watched their site like a hawk at the end, they were listing 490 and 350 cells pretty discounted, and when I would see them pop up, well, I was grabbing them quickWhat did you replace your 490's with?

Me too…but just1966? 1966? It is with terminally mixed emotions that I report I was legally driving then.
Excuse me while I find my walker so as to get to the comfy chair...
You don't look like a happy camper in this photo but you sure look cute![]()
