The penstyle is great. Seems to smoke really well most of the time. It's smelled/tasted like burning plastic a couple times so far, but most of the time it's great. My only complaint is the menthol flavor doesn't taste like menthol at all, in my opinion. C'est la vie.

tried the other battery strangely this one gives me easy draw both have been charged according to instruction.

hey all - new member, and soon-to-be new esmoker. heard about these from a friend on friday, did my research yesterday, and placed my order today (from puresmoker). i went for the mini, got an extra atomizer, extra battery, some extra carts, some juice, etc... hopefully ill be pretty set up.

looking forward to it. i have been a smoker since 15 (30 as of today!) and although i have cut down from over a pack a day (2 packs a day for years) to 5-7 cigs a day - im looking forward to kicking cigarette v1.0 out the door and fully converting to these. i have always thought if there was just this type of nicotine delivery system - quitting smoking would be easy... now it's available and seems to be cost effective to boot. awesome!

hope to dig it as much as you all seem to. should have my stuff in a few days?

Just wanted to update, I ordered some menthol crystals to add to the menthol eliquid, and Steve had thrown an extra box of carts in because of something missing from my order (which cost a good bit less.) If you just smoke menthol, but sure to get some crystals (I ordered from steviasmart.com) and sparingly add them to the juice

I've had the "burning plastic" experience as well. Can anyone tell me, does this eventually go away? Is it because it's so new? Or is that the "flavor"?

Hey Cass ...

It is normally 1 of 3 things. 1) Running the cartridge low and burning/smoldering the filling because it has gotten so dry. 2) Fibers got stuck around or under the steel wool wick, thus causing smoldering 3) Your ECig just did a self cleaning.

I have to say that Steve has been the best as far as support. He always answers quick and is very helpful. I have orders the 901 and the pen from him. I went back and ordered the pink 901 and I love it. So far it has been the most consistent. Since I had 3 of the chargers from previous orders I just ordered parts and that was 2 weeks ago. I ordered 4 atomizers and several batteries. I know that is said about the life of an atomizer but I have been using only one atomizer and I am still on the first one. This is the best result I have had out of about 10 different atomizers. I am very pleased with everything from Steve and plan on doing business with him for a long time. Thanks Steve.

Ok, 24 hours now with my new e-cig from Puresmoker.com and everything is fantastic. In fact, I just placed another order with Steve for the 901, a bunch of liquid, an extra atomizer, and a ton of other junk. This e-cig thing is gonna make me go broke! Luckily, Steve's prices are fantastic, so far the products are excellent, his site is easy to use and there are no "hidden" charges that you'll get hit with at the end of your order. That was my main complaint with a couple of other sites out there I looked at purchasing from. Prices were a bit lower for the items but then the shipping was twice as much as puresmoker and there was a fee at a couple of sites for using paypal. Now, being a business woman I understand that these fees and such are needed but I just feel they should be spelled out at the beginning. Once I go through all the item choices, enter shipping and billing info and then get to the last page to find that the price has gone up by almost $20 I tend to get a bit ticked off. The overall price was about the same at all three sites I looked at but I liked the upfront information and honesty of puresmoker.com. Steve has also been fast to respond to any questions I've had and, as has been said before, he's a really nice guy. I highly recommend puresmoker.com, especially for new e-cig buyers who are a bit apprehensive about ordering these new fangled things!

After spending the first weekend with the DSE 901 I'm very satisfied with the way the unit smokes and amount of vapor produced. However, The first cart I smoke was the regular and the taste of the PG was just too wierd. I thought at firs that it was because it was a regular that it tasted so bad so I popped in a Marlboro flavored LOW Nic cart and that taste is still there.

This taste can be described as a plastic-y, sweet taste. I guess I can live with it but if not only for the fact that I did not get any Marlboro flavor at all. I'm not sure if this is common for you guys or maybe I just got a wierd batch. But definitely no Marlboro taste and very artificial tasting.

Lastly, the draw was very smooth but when inhaling the vapor this seems pretty harsh not quite as smooth as some have described it. Do I have to get used to this because breathing in vapor is harsher than smoke?

i meant to reply sooner - but have been having a rad time with the mini from puresmoker! honestly, this is the best 100$ i have spent on myself - ever, i think. I knew my order would be showing up wednesday, and i could hardly sleep tuesday night. received the gear around 9am, hooked it all up, and took off (precharged batteries and tested equipment is awesome).

it provides the tactile feedback, the throat kick, and the nicotine - all MUCH better than i expected. truly incredible invention... i have been waiting for something like this to come along. my buddy who told me about these tried mine out and is buying them for himself and his lady friend (from puresmoker).

i wasnt a huge fan of the menthol carts (i was a menthol smoker) - didn't taste much like menthol - nicotine and throat kick were great though... after the short acclimation to the taste, i had NO desire to smoke a regular cigarette. and still don't.

battery seems great - i charge once per day - but bought an extra battery (3 total) so haven't been stuck without one yet.

the other genius part is being able to just take a good drag or two and not having to light up and smoke an entire cigarette. i just keep it in my jacket pocket and take a drag whenever i feel like it.. with a conventional 'smoke break' a few times i day.

i could really gush about this product but im not going to so i don't embarrass myself. but honestly, this is amazing so far. customer service from pure smoker was top notch, too. steve responded to my emails quickly and got my stuff to me right away. what more can you ask for! ill definitely be ordering again...
