Actually... yes I am... lol

It isn't as if I wasn't trying at all though... Including the latest 19 samples.... Over the last year I've tried just over 70 ( yes I counted them just now to be certain even ) different flavors looking for that elusive ADV juice... Of those, I'd guess ~40 are ones that claim to be menthol tobacco's ( and aren't )... The others are a variety of fruits, drinks and deserts which are nice from time to time, but just don't do it for me. All of the latest ones are referred to as NET's ( naturally extracted tobacco ) and I don't believe this type has been out long as only a few vendors are not starting to make them.

Previously... there were some using TA ( tobacco absolute which is another completely different form of extraction that is actually used in the perfume industry ) such as you'd find in Dekang TTAB as one of the more famous examples and another variation of TA called TE ( tobacco extract ). Both of these methods are the ones noted as tasting a bit like a dirty ashtray taste.

The biggest issue with trying to find a good menthol is that menthol unless used judiciously... will cover up any tobacco ( or fake tobacco ) flavor... This makes it extremely tough on a menthol smoker trying to drop their habit. In my previous attempts at finding an ADV, I looked at anything menthol to try out... I reversed it this time and looked for the right tobacco flavor instead which I could if I had too.. DYI my own mix with menthol once I found it.

 I was only teasing you Redsock  I WAS a menthol smoker and I KNOW how hard it is to find a good replica. I never did find one to this day that tasted any good to me. I went with the complete opposite direction to the fruits flavors to get off the ciggies. Now however after over 2 years, I'd love to find a great menthol. Still haven't found it. Also I would kill for an excellent Spearmint. I haven't found that either to my tastes. It has been for sure a fun and interesting journey with this stuff though. I'm very glad we all traveled down this road. Well worth the trip :D

I dont know if there has to be a certain process for NET but I was buying cigar juices nearly 2 years ago that were made from the actual cigars. I didn't enjoy them but it was probably my terrible off-brand 510 tank atty setup. Now if someone would make me a bottle of NET Camacho triple Mauro juice that tasted like the cigar I would buy that.

You may want to read through this simple how-to then.. Slow Cooker Extraction of Tobacco and Tea

She has been getting very good results and it's pretty easy at that from the looks of it...

The Raven

Received my 2 ravens a couple days ago. Loaded it into the slim sized raven tank that I received back when the first bad ravens came out. Filled the tank with some DIY ecto plasma that I know well. Dropped two drops down the center of the tube to prime it. (dont know if this was needed or not)

Placed on top of the Vision Vamo at 8 watts.

Took a couple primer puffs, I had some gurgling at first so maybe the drops down the center or primer puffs were not needed.

Flavor is clean and true. Great Vapor. We have a winner here. I will be ordering more Ravens.

Got some Ravens in the Vapesmail today... filling the first one, I find the loose fit of the bottom piece of the tank a bit disconcerting. No leaking yet, but I am leary. I've only been vaping on this thing for about 20 minutes, but it is vaping strong thus far. 7.7 W on the new Evic. The draw is a little loose for me, but good. All in all, I won't say its my favorite (you're gonna have to do something serious to topple the mighty Grande), but it is definitely up there. Great job, guys!!

I'm having a few small problems, likely due to user error.

The fit on my eVic was a bit wobbly. I tightened it down by gripping the bit where the drip tip meets the cartomizer. Wobble fixed! Maybe it needs a locking base, like the UDCT tanks? Of course, I guess I could just use one of those, however....

I'm having to do dry hits before every regular pull or I get the dry scratchy thing. I'm seeing a bubble escape from the notches in the carto after every hit though. In SPITE of the scratchy dryness, the flavor remains strong.

So tell me folks....what am I doin' wrong? I put two drops down the atomizer directly onto the coil just after I had the tank filled. And I left a few millimeters of air in the tank too. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong....

That seems to have solved the dry hit problem! Weird thing though, is that absolutely nothing came out the other end when I blew into the battery connector. But it's working great now, so I'm not complaining!

remove drip tip, blow through the battery connector end into a napkin, when it sounds clean retry it.

yes , the trick is the pressure, while these arent pressured base like the regular phoenix it still will react that way if done improperly. thats why i mentioned if you fill it and make a error then you might get dry hits or flooding, if done right you wont, but if you do then you must alleviate the issue by blowing through it regardless if its full or not. kind of a reset.

the way it works is once its in motion, the you can vape and vape and vape it all the way dry with no dry spots or issues, but if you fill it wrong then issues will be known right away, either flooding, gurgling, dry hit. If so then follow the method i described and like you did and it should solve your issues every time.

How do you avoid filling it wrong? I just used a needle tip bottle.

ok when filling you dont want to squeeze the juice into it to hard, then you will force the juice through and it will start a syphon effect, it might no leak hard but you will get that gurgling , or if you fill it and then push the carto up to fast, basically fill it normally, dont force the juice into the tank with to much pressure. ill try to get into in the next video, ill cause it to flood and ill show you how to fix it by my method.
