They are painted? I would have figured they would have just been cast in the different colors. I'm sure there is a paint, maybe fingernail polish, you could find to touch it up. Besides, function before fashion, I always say. Then again, I am not the most fashionable of folks anyway! :)

The one that Mike disassembled was black on the inside & the outside. I wonder if black is the default with color on top?

You can't pull more current than the battery allows. When you eat up current boosting the voltage you lose some on the other end. Remember, the atty isn't a circuit, it will pull as much current as you give it. That's why we use protected batteries.

No one stated that it was going to pull more current than the battery or batteries would provide... An atty or carto connected to a battery IS a circuit... They are a resistance load and will only pull as much as they can dissipate, after that point they burn out, they can not handle an infinite amount of current as your words imply.

Now having said that... From what I've read, the Rocket is not a buck/boost single battery type of VV ( before you start arguing about that also )... The batteries are stacked in series so it regulates the voltage down to the selected value, it isn't boosting the voltage. What Sev mentioned about Ohm's law still applies... you have a certain voltage going to a resistive load which provides a given power which will always have a certain amperage load. A cheapo PV that is providing a specified wattage will give the same vape that an expensive one at the same wattage and having a regulating circuit or not in it will not change that.

So I have been using my scorpion on a twist for a few hours & I do believe that the high voltage causes a lot of the dry/burnt hits ... NO REAL NEWS there I know ...just sharing :D @ about 4.2v-4.4v I start getting dryer hits .... 3.6v-4.0v is working best for me .

I haven't taken it off my 3.7v box mod yet. It's feeding 100% pg & 100% vg without an issue yet. Maybe I'll switch it to a VV device tomorrow.

My Scorpion has been sitting untouched for 10 hours now with a 50/50 mix, big wick pulled, on my Bolt putting out about 4v, and I was able to get 5 OK draws before the nasty taste popped it's head out. And even the OK draws lacked in flavor. I am going to tear this one apart tomorrow. Maybe I will give the other one a shot before I butcher it as well. I really wish I was having the same experience as CS and kel; I like the overall design. Oh well.

Hope you all have a good Friday!

Alright, experimented with the second Scorpion... Can never leave things alone.

It seems that the big difference between it wicking well, and not wicking worth a durn, is how long you let it sit originally.

You need to let it sit until the wicks absorb as much liquid as they are going to - and that takes hours. If you don't, the carto is likely ruined for life. That's a general conclusion based on one experiment, but I've read that this is, in fact, a common thing, and my experience supports that. First one: let it sit for four hours or more, the wicks stopped absorbing (the level of liquid in tank stopped going down - a bit more than a third of a tank absorbed). Second one: vaped it before the wicks were fully saturated, and even though I let it sit again after only about 15 puffs or so, it never worked right later.

And it seems that the time it takes for full saturation varies from carto to carto. The second one wasn't (the juice hasn't gone down enough) after 8 hours - and i've read of them sitting for full 12.

I understand what you're saying, and yes the coil is technically a circuit, but it will pull as much current as the battery will allow it to until the coil eventually pops, but that's a lot of current with these coils. I know the Rocket is not a buck/boost device. That was the point to my original post is that the Rocket is so much nicer because it doesn't use the boost circuit. Frankly I think we're all dancing around the same ideas. We're just wording everything differently.

Scorpion question: Got one in the cleaner now, and want to try pulling out the big wick like some have suggested. How do you get to it to remove it?? When I look down the tube...the coil appears to be right on top. Do I have to pull the tube out?
When I pulled mine out I could see it laying on top of the coil. I just used tweezers and it came right out. I don't know what's up with yours??? I thought I had given up on the thing but I cleaned it and just couldn't leave it alone.. I refilled it this morning and as long as I don't chain vape it, it's working well. But I'm a chain vaper, so I don't think I'd buy another one.

Anxiously awaiting new items... want to try the new Vivi but who knows what other awesome goodies I might have to have and would really like to place one order instead of two or three

Ok....I think I got it.....go the "I'm old and can't see very well thing going on". I've got the one with peppermint going pretty well. Working on the other one. I'm like you....wouldn't order them again in their current state...but trying to make it work. It is a cool looking device that hold a bunch of juice. What I really want....is the Vivi Nova in a narrower profile to use on the smaller PVs (the current one is perfect on the ProVari, but looks silly on a small stick).

I'm waiting to order too.....Bad promised 8 more things in "a week or so"....so I'm hoping Fridays are the magic day...lol.

i took my war-gear off because i got so sweaty in them waiting for bombs. the initially mention dates arent a strong point based on past track record. im taking dates with a grain of salt or ignoring them all together. im not holding my breath. i think its the unreliability of release dates from customs to gotvapes and they cant release a product they dont have.

I'm a chain vaper of 80% VG Ry4 and love stardusts on ego-compatible bats. I first tried a Scorpion from another vendor (sold as CE6). I filled it and let it sit for 12 hours like Lord Davon suggested in his review (he killed his first one by not letting it soak the wicks). It didn't leak but I never could get it to wick. It worked great as a dripper but decided it was way more trouble than it was worth. I decided to try it again only because of the GV alpha program. This one does wick but mutes the flavor (and lots of dry hits). I left it on it's side for a couple of hours and it leaked a little (just a few drops onto the battery). I left it standing upright overnight and no leaking. It looks great but doesn't perform for me as well as a stardust. I won't buy another one but wanted to thank GV for giving me a chance to try it at a great price. I would not recommend GV carry the Scorpion as a standard product as I think it would generate a lot of complaints.

I think I am lucky on this one so far...my first Scorpion is working great out of the box. I haven't tried the other one yet. Also using the Rocket for about the last hour...I really like the size and shape, weight is perfect and the red is a great color. I love the sleek look of the twist, but I like the feel of this one, I like that it stands on end, it balances my Vivi tanks very nicely, and the display is super easy to read compared to the tiny numbers on the Twist. Probably a little too bright though.

OK, is it just me, or is this tank that comes WITH the Rocket absolutely ......ed? Takes forever to fill, vapor is too cool and bleh flavor. And how do you change flavors with all this fill in here? These are a waste!

Totally agree! They suck. I've tried similar ones and was pretty sure they were going to be awful so used juice I didn't mind losing. And yeah, in the trash it went.
