Greensound Sole

Ok, I have vaped about half a tank of Hush at 17 mg. I don't know if it's the Sole or the Hush, as I haven't vaped this juice much, but there isn't much in the way of TH. (I'm thinking this is the juice, but we'll have to see what my Grande has to say about that). Flavor is good, and I didn't let it sit very long (maybe 15 minutes) before I started vaping.

The tip does heat up a little, although not near as much as a Grande, and the vapor is warm. This is why I've always liked TC and CE2 styles.

The big thing for me, and this is where items like the C8 ( which I want to love more than I can) fail.. no dry hits. I am freight training this thing like I do a grande, (take a full drag and inhale, than continue vaping while I exhale) and it hits everytime thus far.

So far, this thing is awesome. If it were a little bigger, and maybe VV, it would fit the bill completely. I am less concerned about getting the 510 adapter because of the Sole's diminuitive stature. ( although I am still looking forward to it, just not as much)

With my limited time on this, I would say you have a winner on your hands, and I will be buying a spare as soon as they hit mainstream, unless something drastically changes. Now to just put a few tanks through it and clean it a few times....

There’s something about this tiny little pass through that makes me think of nursery book titles. It’s just so cute! In fact, the first thing I thought of when I saw it was the nesting dolls my kids used to play with – the ones where you keep opening up the bigger doll and finding a smaller one inside until you get to the doll that’s as small as it can be made and still resemble the biggest one. That’s about where this PV would fall. There may be a smaller one out there – the SD Keyring, maybe – but a smaller VV? I don’t think so. Strip away every part of a PV except the functional part, and this is what you’re left with.

If I wanted to stick with the nursery book theme, the best title for this little guy (and it is a guy – put a shorty cone on it if you don’t believe me) would be “The Little Dongle that Could.” I’ve used it nonstop all day, at every voltage and a through a variety of power sources, and it has performed flawlessly. I should qualify that by saying that the green cycle only got token usage since I don’t really have an atty or carto for that, but it worked every time. Of course, I can't speak to durability after just one day. Only time will tell.

The only thing I would consider a design flaw is the button. Some of you have mentioned that you thought it was too sensitive, and I agree. It’s impossible to cycle through the voltages without firing the atty. Granted, I’ve never used a battery with a multi-click function, or rather, I’ve never used the multi-click function on my one batt that has it. They may all do that, I don’t know. But it made changing the voltage a little worrisome for me.

At the end of the day, as cute and functional as the Littlest Dongle is, the question I’m still left with is, “Why?” Other than the novelty of it, is there a real usefulness to this form factor? For me, the answer is no. In and of itself, the tininess of it doesn’t meet any particular need I have. That seemed significant for a minute, but as it turns out, need and usefulness are not all that high up on my list of criteria. Cute trumps them both.

Where are folks finding cotton twine for wicks?

Maybe GV could sell the cotton twine and some other things like SS Mesh and Kanthal Resistance Wire. At least PPL could experiment with different materials to find what works for them with out having to chase things down...would be convenient.

Here is everything you ever wanted to know about cotton, twine, gauze, and cheesecloth etc...

received my sole today and like someone else mentioned i figured it would be a bit bigger, not really a gripe just an observation. I think this will have good potential as a stealth. I don't mind the charger as my tower sits on top of my desk since it is so large and has a top USB so i will just charge it upright there but I can see where issues could arise from it. filling was very easy and i like how i can stick it in my pocket or lay it down on the table sideways and not worry about it flooding or leaking. I am on my second tank 3/4 finished on the factory charge and it still has the same flavor( which isn't bad) and great vapor. There was about 6 puffs in the middle of the first tank that I hardly got any vapor from it, not sure why, but I went back to normal. all and all I would give it 2 thumbs up for vapor production and taste and 2 thumbs and a big toe up for functionality

I would like to mention that I just discovered the shutoff for this device is just like an ego... 5 clicks

2 days ago we moved into a new house. I changed my address with USPS well in advance of the move. Yesterday I got 6 failed delivery responses from USPS. They tried to deliver 6 vapemail packages to the old address, including 3 from GV. There is a small fortune in equipment lost in USPS limbo right now and I dont know if they are sending it back to the merchants or if I can pick it up at the PO. I am putting out an APB or would that be an AVB? This really isnt a laughing matter, guess thats just my way of dealing with disaster. I will be at the PO at 9AM this morning. You may see me on the news. I will be the guy with the back brace being led out by 5 officers. The headline will read " Large man with horse saddle on goes postal in local post office, story at 11".

OMG!!! sorry to hear that Ken and sorry to  but your headline is funny.:D They don't usually send anything back that fast so you should be able to pick it up at your PO. Hope it's all waiting there for you. :)

Ack, I'd be livid!!! I think you'll find it at the post office, though. Seems like I recall that happening before and they were holding onto it so I could come by and pick it up. Good luck!

Good Day! Hope some new stuff will be dropping today. :D

There was a thread somewhere about upcoming arrivals anyone know where that is and maybe post the link, I lost it somewhere in cyber land! :)

Your best bet is to search the thread for posts by Badkolo. He's the one who's posted all of the upcoming items. Maybe search for posts by Dan, he might have teased us a little, too.

To the folks that commented on my earlier post, yes, school started way too dang early. I don't know why! Every year it's a little earlier. They get out of school near the end of May, though. I don't know if that's exceptionally early or not.

Okay, this update is in regards to cleaning one of these bad boys. Like an idiot (because that's how I roll), I put a new juice flavor in there that I didn't realize needed to steep. I'd never tried this flavor so I didn't know what I was getting into. One puff and I was sucking it right back out with a syringe. I refilled it with the flavor I'd had in it before, the 7 Leaf/Green Apple mix, which is also good for testing purposes so I could see how well it switched flavors. The Phoenix has always been great about that even with really gnarly flavors. This one... not so much. Just to compare, I put the same juice in a Phoenix (just a tiny bit) puffed on it for a bit (eww) and switched to the same juice as the one in the sole carto. It was like the yuck juice hadn't even been in there.

I tried to clean it this morning the same way I used to clean the Stardusts that were a nightmare to take apart. Fill with hot water, cover the top with my finger and shake it like a mad woman, rinse and repeat (pun intended). I shook it out really well because I couldn't get a paper towel in there to dry it out. In retrospect, I could have used a Q-tip that I'd loosened the cotton on and got it down in there to soak some of the water up. Oh well.

Started to dry burn it. Kept trying with no glowing coils but plenty of vapor coming off of it. Seemed strange that there could be that much left in there. Well, after doing this for a while, I noticed that there was filler inside of the post. I'm having a lot of "duh me" moments today. If I had read the item description a little better, I would have known about this already. I'm still surprised that rinsing it as much as I did didn't wash out the leftover juice. I even filled it up and blew the water through it like Chris does on the Phoenix video. By the way, this led to yet another "duh me" moment. The water obviously can't come out of the connection and instead shoots out of the vent holes on the sides.

I don't know how long it'll take to dry out. What's up with all of these new cartos with the top coil design surrounded by filler?! The Stallion, Ce5 and this one. I mean it seems to be working really well as far as performance goes, but it really sucks for cleaning them.

Question: Do you think I could wrap this thing up in a breathable material (thinking of cutting up a pair of pantyhose) and putting it in a bowl of rice would help pull the moisture out?

I've never clicked on the Alpha link at GotVapes before this morning. I literally was giddy. I MUST be included. PLEASE!! I've been a beta tester for McAfee for 7 years, I've beta tested for high speed cable internet before it was publicly available. I beta test for Corel and Adobe. I've beta tested for Pogo games and was in a focus group which paid handsomely I might add. LOL

This is right up my alley! I know I don't post much here but having Fibromyalgia it is difficult for me to sit for long periods of time and I find myself getting lost in this forum reading all sorts of stuff every time I come here. LOL My vaping obsession started the minute I found this forum after getting taken for a ride by scam e-cig companies to the tune of $500+

Started with a mini 510 kit and now I'm using an Mvari VV, Joye Ego-T VV, and my newest toy, the Ego Twist. I have learned how to make my own juices in a short matter of time, disassemble carto's in order to salvage others and have 6 smallish sized storage tubs full of vaping equipment all carefully bagged together by relevance, marked clearly with a sharpie, in the tub with other items that go along with them with the boxes also clearly marked using pink post-it notes taped to the top and front with packing tape. LOL

I am OCD about organization, very articulate, and am capable of giving a thorough review on any product you make available to me through the Alpha program if you decide to accept me. I will shoot a PM asking to be included AFTER I make my order tomorrow (shopping cart already has items in it) when I get paid. ;)

Green Sound Sole

Mine arrived yesterday morning and was charged in time to make a afternoon long trip with me. Filled the tank with juice and primed the coil with a couple drops and headed out for a test drive. Of course the Saber and my Mad Vapes Gripper went as well. I was pleased both with the vapor production of the Sole as well as the battery life. The tank needed refilling before the battery gave out last night. It never got gurgly even when left on it's side for an extended time and the size makes it easy to drop in a pocket. A molded in pocket clip would be great on this.

The down sides...

Charger...I don't care for the mini plug and it would have been nice if it could be used as a passthrough while charging
Top coil get warm as they all do when chain vaping

those are rally my only complaints, over all I think this is a decent small device. I created more vapor than I expected and the flavor was as good as any carto I have used.

Upright is a good idea. No tower, but I can plug the charger into the power strip.

Good luck getting into the program, sounds like you have the right attitude about it :)

I should get mine today and I am thinking the same thing. I can plug it in to my PC Tower on the top or I have a few iphone chargers that will allow me to stand it up straight. This does seem like a very bad charging solution though.

Just what I needed to start my day. More information to feed my deep. mostly ignored, underlying fears of vaping safety. Solder, diacetyl, now silicosis, not to mention China's long concern for consumer safety. I always appease my fears by the old "can't be any worse than smoking cigarettes for 40+ years". We always say ... it's OK ... it's food grade. But that does not mean it was meant to be heated and inhaled. Thanks for pointing out the thread and I did subscribe. Maybe I shouldn't have. You know the old saying "ignorance is bliss".
God I hate myself when I get on a roll like this. Think I'll go find something to kick.
