I'm guessing that the Zmax will be vw only I'm not sure how it's possible to have a vv/vw in the same mod

I imagine that you'll be able to switch between one or the other or it will be VW only. I'm not sure who'd even want VV when VW is an option...?

I ain't QUITE that old, Ken-Bob!!!

You got that harness off yet? :)

Yes I do, 9 out of 12 hrs a day. If I'm getting in the car I wear it, for obvious reasons, and every now and then when I'm gonna be on my feet for an extended period of time. I'm basically back to where I was for the past 2 yrs w the exception of needing to squat to reach the floor. ( I know what all you sick minds thought I was going to say just then and yous should be ashamed of yous selves')

I have a few scorpion sct tanks on the way; ne preliminary impressions from u guys before I put them through the paces

...just be aware that acidic juices will crack Scorpion tanks ...I covered mine with clear packing tape (as a precaution) & I still have one that works ...fried the other dry burning I do believe ... you could go back thru the thread & read others insights ... It was one of the first things we tested in the beginning of this adventure :D

Definitely.

And don't forget to let it sit with juice in it for a *really* long time (overnight is good) - it's going to suck up a goodly part of the tank into the wicks inside the tube, don't use it until it stopped absorbing, imho. I never got a dry hit doing that...

Finally getting some time to post a small review of the Apollo tank I got a few weeks back.

When I got the tank, I was starting a new job that required me to be on the road quite a bit initially. I wasn't sure about the break in for these, so I filled it with juice and threw it atop my Rocket. Dry hits ensued virtually every time. I took the tank apart, washed it and set it out to dry.

Now a couple of weeks later, my interest (and time) have been renewed. First things first, I knew a dry burn was in order. After the dry burn, I filled it and have been vaping the little gem at 3.4 volts on the Rocket with zero dry hits. I am growing to rather enjoy this little tank the more I use it.

It is fairly common to experience some gurgling but it doesn't seem to hurt anything so I just ignore it. My job requires me to do a lot of driving, so a tank with the ability hold a lot of juice and perform well for a long time really interests me.

The only real down side I have found to this tank is that it looks like a Christmas tree ornament. I should have gone with a different color. :p

If they go good, it will be mainlined...SMOKtech is a supplier who is of course vetted with us and normally we wouldn't ALPHA one of their products but you made a good point earlier in the thread about the first VMaxes that came out were fraught with problems so I thought it might be a good idea to vet this a bit first.

I think what we may do is take entries for a lottery drawing here in this thread. There are alot of ALPHA members who don't participate in discussion as much as the regulars so I would rather see these get in the hands of the 'regulars' in here. What we will probably do is silently announce here in the thread. I can then have you simply like my post when I announce it is time for the drawing. I may put up 8, forego my own unit for ALPHA, send one to chris, yiddle gets one and krystm gets one as he (you) actually also suggested this be alpha'd. So there would be 7 left for random...After my post has been up 24 hours I can then announce who is eligible to buy after I randomize the winners.

I have never won a lottery worth anything but there is always a first time. Put me on the ZMax list Danno. Thanks.

I'm still using two of them off and on. I use so many different juices in assorted Stardusts and Mini-Vivis right now, that I haven't even gotten through a first tankfull though.

Right now they are working great. I am not getting the vapor I get with the ViVi, and it works much better at around 4 Volts for me, with serious tilting at about 1/3 of a tank - but what is more important for me, and why I have my favorite complex tea flavor in it, is the flavor. IMHO, flavor is considerably better than the ViVi, actually. Deeper, with the spectrum of the flavor presented evenly. ViVi is a bit on the "bright" side for me, and sometimes can have metallic accent on some juices - Apollo does not.

Yeah, they do gurgle... I found that for some reason they work best below half-full point for me. And when first started, both of mine gave me an ungodly bad time: flooding or dry hits, nothing in-between, it seemed. But that didn't last long. Now, as long as i tilt, no problems.

I like this thing. It does look like a Christmas ornament, true. :D I think I'd actually prefer if it was a bit less shiny? But I love the shape - it's just sooooooo sci-fi - and the colors! Too cool. It's really too bad that it doesn't do best on the matching batt, together they are cool city - to the point that I sometimes sacrifice function for form and vape it like that. LOL

But the "Sonic Screwdriver" look is good too.

So I shaved the top of my Rocket and sure enough it's good to go and everything fires on it now. Kinda sucks though because now my pretty silver rocket has black plastic at the top. Oh well function over form. So anyone having issues be sure to shave the top off around the 510 connector and you will be all set. I did mine with a swiss army knife and had no issues. Plastic is soft and easy to cut.
