Just thought I'd report an interesting finding...interesting to me anyway.
This applies to my Apollo tank and original version Vivi Nova.
When I first received both of these, I dry burned them, primed the coils, Vaped them, hated them, rinsed them off with hot water, air dried them for a day or two and tossed them into the junk drawer for piddling at a later date. That later date has arrived.
I dry burned them, re-primed them and now they're hitting like nobody's business. Maybe it's the rinse with hot water, but something in this equation made them work great. Perhaps I'm not dry burning them enough initially, but my technique has worked for most other stuff I buy.
The Apollo still leaks a bit too much for my liking, but it's great now as a backup. If anyone has an Apollo or first generation Vivi Nova sitting in the drawer...might try this. Can't guarantee it'll work, but it's worth a shot.

Ding dong, the dongle is dead 
Tried to use the Amigo this morning and I got flashing lights. I'd shift my hand and they'd flash again. Tried multiple cartos, different USBs... even plugged it into my computer. Same thing and from its behavior, it's definitely a short in the wire. Dangit.
Cleaned the connection and all that jazz. I'm glad I have another PT, but I sure did like my Amigo. I was hoping it would have more longevity than the Vornado but it really didn't, at least in my case. I've been careful with it, especially where the wire connection is concerned. I was mindful about putting pressure on the base and so on.
I realize that it's gone prime time, but this is where I've always reported issues with Alpha stuff and so here it is.

This won't exactly ease the sting of the pain of the dead passthrough, but I keep an old dead passthrough for spinning out cartos to dry them. Just a handy use for something that has died. And it is fun to pretend that you are a ninja when you do this, lol.

You know depending on your soldering skills it may be revivable. A USB Cable is only 5 wires and only 2 are typically used so it shouldn't be too bad. Not sure how the device comes apart though which may be tough.
Yeah, many, many years ago I was permabanned by my entire family from both things that will let me glue myself to myself, and things that will let me set myself (or others) on fire.
