I fooled GV today... Some of you may remember my little story about how when we used to be able to smoke in restaurants, a sure fire way to get the food to come out was to light up a smoke. Well the Alpha drops work the same way. The sure fire way to get Alpha products to drop is for me to place an order and then that night they would release a new Alpha product. I swear they watch my account activity.
Well I got them today. I filled my cart this morning and didn't checkout. HAH! Whats up now? You like apples?

The CE9 post needs work. If I screw it in too far into my iTaste VV 510 adapter, the post causes a short. I have to screw it in loosely for it to work. Spent 15 minutes trying to figure out how it was shorting until I figured out it was a problem with the post.
I stuck the end of the silica wick up through the spike and filled it up fine. Primed the wick to help start the capillary action. Getting dry hits at 3.7v, even after just a few hits. This thing definitely needs to be built with SS mesh. I'll have to try it when I get some mesh.

It will be to hard with mesh unles u did a horizontal wick...i tried using mesh like u can do in the bulli(kinda like the cyclone) if any know what that is..basiclly ur mesh would be standing up the top would be going thru the spike i tried it and failed...the posts are the same size...if say ur positive was taller it wuld work but with it being the same size..no go
You mean vertical?
The mesh would stand straight up and go through the post. Minimizes the amount of wick needed and would improve wicking significantly. You don't need to have one post taller than the other, you just have to work it so that the negative is below the post and leaves a bit of a tail, and the positive is a bit above the post and has a tail. Or you could have one of them even, and use a bit of silver wire as a tail. It would effectively work the same way it does on a Phoenix rebuildable, and it should be fine.

CE9: I've been rebuilding mine with a single cotton wick. I leave one end long and pull it through the spike with a paper clip and cut it at the angle of the spike. The whole rebuild takes me about 3 minutes. I let it set for a minute while I put my supplies away and it's ready to vape. I don't even prime it before I put the spike on. It's not a bad little device I think. I haven't had any trouble with the post on mine. It's fired on everything I've put it on. The original coil/wick were useless and I don't like the eGo collar it comes with. I think the collar should be threaded or something. I do like that the collar is optional leaving you with the option of putting it on any 510 battery.
As far as MY OWN experience is concerned this could be mainlined as long as it's explained that you shouldn't even attempt to use it without removing the preinstalled set up and redoing it.
I wouldn't buy one though. It seems such a contradiction to have such an advanced item like this with such a non advanced juice delivery method. That said I am using it during this write up and I've got HUSH in it. That's right. I put in the good stuff!
If it matters to anyone, I'm using Kanthal D 36 awg. It's producing 2.6-2.8Ω coils and the wick is un-dyed 100% cotton yarn that I've boiled for 15 minutes and let dry over night. (I boil about 10 feet at a go and it lasts a long time. I'm still on my first 10 foot section in fact) Do not attempt to dry burn cotton!
I do the Phoenix Bully the same way but I leave both ends a bit long and stuff them under the coil.
Edit: If anyone's interested I could try to do a video showing how I get the cotton wick through the spike.

Have not found the screw! I keep looking for it. I wonder what odds I'd have if I took it to Home Depot and tried to match it. I did find the base though it was directly in front of me! It had rolled up against my mouse on the back side so it was hidden from my view.
Edit: I was pretty much done playing with the CE9 anyway. I prefer the bully for dripping or a Vivi Nova for out and about. The CE9 being and eGo-T/C type thing just doesn't fit my VapeStyle
