Just as an update - I agree that this item really doesn't bring a whole lot to the table. It seems like they attached an LCD screen with irrelevant info on it just to "dazzle" us...we're not for sure we want to bring this into alpha...we will be bringing stuff into alpha soon, hopefully after the first of the year...but we're not goign to bring stuff into alpha simply cus its there...it DOES have to pass a first line of inspection...

I've taken a couple for the team, just due to QC issues. It's bound to happen every now and then. No biggie, but I can't willingly take one for the team with that device.

Yep. I think it's a prime example of pre-Alpha decision making. If the screen had brought something to the device, and by something, I mean something significant information-wise, then it might have passed the OOOoooohhh! test.

I think a bluetooth headphone jack and indentation for an ipod nano with connector would work as a replacement for the screen. Super extended life nano!

I'm pretty sure that the VAMO will go straight to main. The reviews are great so far. Umm, well on second thought, just to be sure I think we need to test the VAMo at/near cost. You guys dont want to take any chances. No really I have GV's best interest in mind. Yea thats it.

Kudos Dannoman for making that decision. That device wasn't even a good joke. These manufacturers make some of the most ridiculous items, and most times we consumers just gobble it up because it is new and different. That, though, would only promote that manufacturer to keep shoveling out crap as products, where we as a community need to draw a line somewhere. And when we actually do draw a line, companies like Smok and Vision offer better products.
