Another Alpha newbie here!

I did find this thread when I was looking for info on the Kanger S1 a while back (I got one from a different vendor). So far, loving this little pv. I was a KR808 user off and on for years, and when I got back into vaping this time I wanted to try out one of the newfangled tank style thingamabobbies. I do have some issues with the plastic threading, though. I managed to bork my two original tanks and one of my batteries before learning my lesson to treat it gently. Luckily, the replacement S1 tanks were available even if you weren't an Alpha member, and I'm limping along with my 4 tanks, 9 coils, and one battery. Hoping the S1 comes back in stock very soon!

Next on my radar is finding a good vv or vw... possibly a box mod... I want a long battery life, but some of the pipe-style mods are just a bit too large for my taste. I love the looks of the iTaste MVP, and the SmokTech Groove is pretty groovy too (if it ever shows up...;) ). I even like the looks of the Tesla if I did go for one of the cylinder mods.

I have been kind of lurking on the GV board for a bit, and have to say y'all are a fun group (especially MonkeyMama and yiddle).

Now when are we droppin' more bombs, bad and danno? :p

Ordered all the fruit flavors and the menthol .. didn't bother with the tobacco flavors as I've never liked that type and didn't want to give a biased opinion on them.

any opinion on how i should test? atm i have one atomizer, 5 titan's (with 10 fresh heads), 6 polycarbonate DCT's and 2 glass cartotanks (with 20 fresh cartos).

'Test' anyway you normally would use this product. The important part is your honest opinion and feelings/findings shared with the rest of us. :)

First welcome to alpha... remember to read the "rules" listed on the first post and more importantly, don't post about alpha products outside of this thread

First thing, many e-liquids require a bit of steeping time before they reach their best flavor... lighter flavors ( like fruits etc ) usually can be vaped right out of the mailbox and heavier ones will be best after a week or so. That is a generalization, so just keep it in mind. In fact, one of my favorite ones, I couldn't stand when I first tried it and after letting it set a while, became one of my most liked ones.

You can get past a long steep time by first shaking it well, then placing the bottle into hot water and repeating this several times. I will usually do this with any new juice ( light or dark ) just so I give the juice a good chance from the start. Later, I'll use the standard method of placing it in a cool dark cabinet for a couple of weeks... In short, I order my juices well ahead of time before I think I'll be vaping them.

There is nothing wrong with using whatever atty, carto, clearo or tank you already have, just as AG51 ( aka monkey momma ) said... Still I prefer to test using a dripping atty of which GotVapes has several available. If you get a dripping atty, these let you drip in 2-5 drops and try a flavor out without sacrificing a whole tank or something. First try a known juice that you already like so you know how it tastes. Then you rinse out the dripping atty and let it dry before switching to another flavor. I prefer to clean mine out with PGA ( pure grain alcohol ) since it will get out most stubborn flavors better than just water.

I was just meaning that one doesn't have to out of their way to be Super Scientific to test things out, that this has to be done a certain way  But RedSock is correct here...

Not a thing wrong with what you suggested either... In fact, I'll often just use a shorty carto and we all know they don't work well with multiple flavors since they have a filler in them.

Order placed! I hope I get a talking charger, I could definitely use another charger if this one works. Free=nothing to use, plenty to gain :D

Welcome to the newbies!

That's some awesome juice prices. I love Alpha. Hopefully the juices are vapable. I'm a little leery of juices that aren't made when ordered but I'm willing to give it a try.

i was going to order some new atty's but GV is sold out of all but one.

Wow... I could have sworn there were more than that when I posted about them... I now wonder if they were out and I just didn't see the sold out notices or not... I know I was tired and had even gone to bed about an hour early, so I'm now guessing I had a case of "selective seeing"
