The eVic is my first mod, so I've got nothing to compare it to. I've had mine for a little over a week now, and I've got no complaints. I can understand the reservations some people have though. If you're not a data/computer nerd, most of the extra features are rather pointless. I like all that silliness though, and I don't get out much so I'm not terribly concerned with ruggedness. :)

In all fairness I can be hard on equipment. I have nerve damage and other spinal issues so I tend to drop things.......a lot....and I knew from friends that had a couple of them fall apart after one drop it would not last in my hands. It was a great performing mod and the tech was neat. The head construction could be a lot better quality materials. The ability to upgrade functionality with a very simple firmware upgrade is awesome and I hope a trend that catches on with other manufacturers.

hi all-my name's scott, and i've just been let into the alpha program! i can't tell you how excited i am to be part of this group, and i'm looking forward to meeting and working with you all, and to share my opinions and suggestions with you all.

i'm from south florida, and i've been vaping for a while now. i kicked the tobacco habit, and now i have a hobby, which i'm completely and totally obsessed with! i have converted a lot of my friends and family members, and i'm working on a few more at present (come on, mom-give up the cigs....be one of US!!!).

thanks to adrena and everybody at gotvapes for letting me into the secret society!

again, i look forward to getting to know all of you!

Krash,
I've got some spine/nerve issues, too. I tend to be a little harder on buttons, especially-I lose feeling in my fingertips periodically. Sucks. Lanyards are ok, but it is kind of aggravating to have a pv slapping your chest or hanging around your neck. There's no easy answer...except to try and vape as close to the ground as possible.

Got one last night, and it's on the way-my first Alpha purchase.

Thanks for the tip, trevor148!

Do we post our reviews/thoughts in this thread?

Per the agreement when joining alpha...........all discussion/and or reviews of alpha products are to be confined to this thread ;)

Welcome Scott.
I know it's not an Alpha product but has anyone tried that Twix set up? I think I'm gonna get me 1 of those instead of the Raven. with the last Raven flopping on .... i will wait and see what the great alphas have to say about it.:)

Billy I ordered both (having a ton of fun today) both are stellar no problems "yet".
Just look at purpose/function and decide..

Ravens have truly hit it for a carto tank not gurgling on my and almost done with the first tank.
The twix is interesting. Menthol on the bottom watermelon on top. This is my most vaped mix for 2 years
and I must say not "mixing" them I really enjoy the watermelon taking the lead.

No complainants on the raven except I want purple.
No complainants in the twix except the tube being locked to the case ant the grooved drip tip needed.

Both work well :D

Thanks, Billy-happy to be here. I am actually looking forward to trying the Raven out. I usually don't have much success with wick based tanks-I always end up disappointed by them, because I get that burnt wick taste going. On my twist or an ego, they work okay, but when I use a more advanced pv (which I usually do), even at a low voltage setting, I can't say I have had much luck. I am open to the idea of it, though-I like the way this one looks, though-sounds interesting.

Raven

Okay, now we know. The carto has a clear tube all the way to the coil. Fill the tank, put the carto back into position, drip a couple of drops straight down the tube and you're ready to go.

A nice, smooth, easy draw and I'm loving it. Only been using it for about 15 minutes, but the Raven Rocks!!!!

Gotta go grade papers....

I have used lanyards and don't like them. Both hands are constantly asleep feeling on the outer two fingers and up my arms. Some days are worse than others.

I try to use sturdier stuff on really bad days. Needless to say I have a lot of stainless steel equipment. It's one of the main reasons I fell in love with the iTaste SVD since it fits my hand better than the Provari. Easier to keep a grip on it, plus it performers like a champ.
